[Closed] Trials in the Pridelands

"Ugh. Romance." Bianca began to claw things in the dirt again. Lately, they'd been more than just scratching. Rafiki had even commented on how meaningful they really were. At the moment, the scratchings looked somewhat like a roaring lion.

Simba walked over to his niece, looking at her scratching in the dirt. "Wow, those are really nice. It reminds me of your mom and I's father when he was roaring," he said.

"Sure," she said, but she was thinking of the lion as dark-furred, not golden.

Simba smiled. "So, Bianca, what do you want to do today? I'm sure that you and your sisters want to go play and run," he said, trying to make conversation with her.

"Yeah," she said, looking up from her scratching, "But they play stupid games. I don't want to play tag or hide and seek. I want to play King of the Pridelands, where I am the king and I can tell them to do anything."

Simba only smiled. "You know, I felt a lot the same way when I was your age. Your mother and Aunt Nala always wanted to play pouncing. What made it bad for me was that I was always the target," he said.

"Yeah!" she agreed, "When I don't want to play their games, they make me play by tagging me or finding me. They should just leave me alone."

Simba only laughed. "Remember, Bianca. They may annoy you, but they are still family. Please try to tolerate them a bit more. It will work wonders," he said.

"Eh. Whatever," she mumbled, and gave the roaring lion a mate roaring beside him. She made sure to add a dorsal stripe.

Simba smiled. "Well, we might as well start getting the others up. There's no use in lying around here doing nothing," he said as he got up.
