Marini's frown remained. "You can't know that for sure." She looked at the pleading faces of her cubs. "I'm sorry, but the answer is no."

Tua: If anything happened you know your man could handle it!

Marini raised an eyebrow in a rather sarcastic manner. "An entire pack of hyenas?" she asked, rolling her eyes.

(I think you should have him say 'your lion' next time... lol)

Tua: Yes! I can protect all three of you! Besides they are long gone!

Marini frowned. "You can't know if they're really gone and we're not going there." she said. "End of story."

Tua: ........Yes dear.

Regardless of the disappointed looks on her cubs' faces, Marini had no intention of taking the risk of encountering even one hyena in the Elephant Graveyard. Besides, there could also be rogues and other things they wouldn't want to come across out there. "Now... Is there a place you thought about taking our cubs to that isn't potentially dangerous?" she asked with a sigh, still annoyed at having had to argue with her mate about something like this.

Meanwhile, back in their little cave, Kopa lay back down next to Vitani and embraced her gently, giving her forehead an affectionate lick as he did. "How are you feeling?" he asked with a soft, caring smile on his face.

Tua: Well.....how about...........I've got nothing.

Vitani: .......Amazing!

Kopa chuckled and gave his mate a quick kiss. "Just think... Soon you'd be able to boss me around to do pretty much everything for you." Vitani always seemed like the type of lioness who'd enjoy that sort of thing. Hopefully that would make up for... everything else...
