[Closed] Trials in the Pridelands

Kovu trotted to Kiara, nipping her ear. "Yeah, I'll come."

Zira grinned mischievously. "Monstro, you know me. I can't get hurt!" She moved along, Shetani following closely. Then, she caught a scent. "Simba," she growled.

Simba growled when he smelled the scent. "Come on. Let's go and investigate," he said, moving towards the smell.

Nala moved quickly beside Simba's side as the rest of the family gathered behind them, her face in scowl. "I know that scent...." she growled looking to Simba. As they moved down the familiar path of the Pride lands her crystal blue eyes narrowed at the sight of the three standing on the small hilltop. She let out another warning growl, "Zira..." she spat out. The Queen stood proudly next to Simba and waited for her mate to make the next move.

Mheetu looked down at Kamili and gave her a small nuzzle, "Don't worry, I won't let anything happen to you or your sisters." he said softly. His green eyes looked to Vitani and then he motioned for them to stay close.

Saffy snuggled into Vitani's shaky paw and her green eyes poked out at the scary trespassers. "Mom.." she whimpered softly.

Ruby's amber eyes looked to Kiara and then Kopa before stepping close to him, "Whos Zira?" she asked curiously. She then noticed the three up top the hill and she looked back at Kopa. "Do you see that lioness...she only has 3 legs." she muttered.

Monstro chuckled slightly but soon his facial expressions went limp. A growl passed his muzzle as his yellow eyes peered down on the Pride landers and he eyed Simba. "Simba..." he snarled. Monstro looked to Zira waiting on her to make her next move, he leaned towards Shetani. "Stay close and If things get rough...run. Dpn't look back." he said instructing his daughter quietly.

Nala looked up at Zira once more, "You are trespassing Zira. You were exiled by Mufasa a long time ago." she growled.

Simba nodded and looked at Zira. "You aren't supposed to be here, Zira," he said. He then remembered what his father had explained to him about her. "Or should I say 'Aunt Zira'?" he said, the irritation in his voice obvious.

"Oh, all I wanted was to see my son. Isn't he here?" Zira chuckled.

Simba looked around before looking back at his aunt. "Your son? What's his name?" he said.

"Kovu, of course." She looked over Simba's shoulder.
"Uh... hi, Mom," Kovu said nervously.
"Kovu!" Shetani yelled, rushing to him.

Simba's jaw dropped. "Wait, Kovu is your son? He's married to my daughter now," he said.

"Married? Kovu, we had a deal."
"Mom, I... who is this?" He inched away from Shetani.
"Shetani, come here." Zira sighed.
"But..." The cub slowly walked back to her mother.

Simba looked at Zira. "Listen to me, Zira. I know who you really are now. You were once Bianca, my aunt. You only became Zira after a cubhood of bullying and a fight for Scar's heart," he said, trying to reason with her.
