Meanwhile, Kopa waited eagerly to hear Ruby's words. Oh how he loved her! He loved her every bit as much as Simba loved Nala.

Ruby shifted eagerly as Rafiki addressed her, "Yes. Of course I do." she said in a sweet tone. Her long tail flickered behind her body as they finished their vows and let Rafiki speak. Her amber eyes caught sight of the animals making their own acknowledgements and she smiled sweetly. Her ears twitched at Simba and Nala's roars and she waited for Kopa to follow.


Nala stepped forward beside Simba as she let her King give his blessing roar, her own roar following his. Her eyes closed tightly as she roared in pride for her family was slowly becoming complete. If only Chaka were here to see his brother, she pushed the sad thought from her mind.

Mheetu leaned over to Vitani giving her a small nuzzle as Kopa and Ruby exchanged their vows. The sound of celebration rang through the Pride lands and Mheetu didn't hesitate to jump in.

Rafiki nodded and smiled. "Den with de power granted me, I declare you two mates and de future king and queen!" he exclaimed as he shook his staff over both their heads.

Kopa looked at Ruby. "So, beautiful, after the ceremony, you want to go off alone for awhile?" he said.

Ruby gave Kopa'a nuzzle an affectionate lick and she nodded, "Of course my King.." she teased playfully. Her long tail intertwining with his own before she stood to her paws. She greeted the lionesses and turned to look at Rafiki, bowing her head respectfully she spoke. "Thank you."


Nala snuggled close into Simba's side, "Well our son is practically all grown up..." she said with a small grin.

Simba smiled at Nala. "Yes, he is, and eventually, he will be king of Pride Rock," he said, giving Nala an affectionate lick. He still loved her as much as ever.

Kopa nodded. "Thanks, Ruby. I know a comfortable place under some trees. It's a very nice spot," he said.

Kovu stretched out. "Eventful. A new king... It's kind of amazing to see it so close. Hm?"

Kopa heard Kovu and turned. "Well, I'm not king yet. I won't be king for awhile still," he said.

Kamili ran over to Ruby and hugged her leg. "I'm so glad you're family now!" Licking her fur and smiling up at her. "Have cubbies so we can play with them!" Giggling and turning to Kopa. "Babies." Nodding her head and looking at the surrounding lions.

Vitani chuckled as Kamili ran away from her, and smiled when her daughter hugged her new neice-in-law. Turning to Mheetu she frowned, "I don't want them to grow up and leave." Leaning her head on his broad shoulders.

Kiara smiled and watched the animals crowd around Ruby and Kopa. Desperately she wanted to congratulate them, but didn't want to be around everyone. She decided to wait to congratulate them by herself without other's yelling to them.

Simba walked over to Vitani. "Well, 'Tani, I now have two in-laws. Here's to hoping that cubs come soon," he said, giving his sister an affectionate noogie.

Nala joined Simba, Vitani and Mheetu and smiled as everyone gathered around Kopa and Ruby. She chuckled as Simba wrestled Vitani into a noogie, "Ahhh...Simba still playing." she teased softly. Nala looked over at Mheetu, "Your girls are growing up so quickly hold on to them." she whispered softly to her little brother. Her light tan fur was aging slowly and her crystal blue eyes watched the crowd closely, she took in the happy moment.


Ruby leaned down and gave Kamili a nuzzle before scooping the cub up into her arms for a hug. "Thank you Kamili. We will work on that...soon enough." she giggled with a grin. Setting Kamili down next to Saffy she looked at the girls, "When I do have cubbies I hope you plan on helping me watch them." she asked.

Saffy nodded and smiled up at Kopa, "Sheesh Kopa, your wedding was huge. What are you and Ruby going to do now that you're married?" she asked curiously. Saffy ran around Kopa's legs and passed between Kovus as well playfully.


Mheetu looked to Nala with his deep green eyes resembling their mother, "Well, wherever their destinies lead them. I will do anything in my will to make sure they are happy..." he spoke calmly. "I don't want them to feel confined..."
