Neru walked away. Meanwhile Mufalfa finally spoke, "Ra I am a liar, murderer, and butcher. I lied to you. Imani did not kill your parents. I am sorry." He gagged again feeling horrible.

"What do you mean?" Ra asked licking him

He gagged saying, "I lied to you. Imani, your sister, is a good lioness. I am the murderer, butcher, and liar. I killed that 'Tanga's' parents. I was about to kill your own sister. You are not my mate or anything. You love your sister. I lied to you."

[Nakisisa]

"Wha... What?" Ra asked, gulping hard, "You mean to say, I attacked my sister, because you lied to me?" Ra said sounding shocked, "There are a million reasons why I should kill you here and now, all the pain you've caused my sister and her friends" Ra paused, sighing. "But I won't, I'm not like you, and in your current state, you woulden't last 10 minutes alone" she said laying next to him, "Besides, in my eyes, your still my mate" she said licking his cheek.

Mufalfa talked using all of his might. "Go home. Go back to your beloved sister. Tell her you forgot your memory and I lied to you. Tell her I will not bother you lions anymore." He laughed and said, "Dying in my current state would be the first real blessing in my entire life." He sighed really wondering why he tried to save himself from death. "There is more. You uh...will have cubs soon if you have not noticed. In a few months." He knew she would kill him after reminding her.

Tanga shifted his position on the ground, rolling over to try and find a more confortable position. As he did, he noticed Auni laying in the grass beside them, staring at him with an odd look in his eyes, like he wanted to talk. So why didn't he?

Seeing that he was not going to get to sleep any time soon, and Auni looked like he wasn't either, he decided to try and engage the lion in conversation...he had been friendly in the past, after all. "Hey Auni...how you holding up?" He asked, looking at the lion beside him to try and guage for himself how the quiet guy was faring.

He did not appear to be badly injured, although Tanga had noticed that he had sufferred a few knocks during the earlier fight, and had been unconscious for quite a bit of it. "Look, I...I know I don't notice you as much as Imani, but...thank you," he said meekly. "You're a good friend...the two of you are the only ones I've ever had."

His head cocked to the side in confusion as Auni did not answer, continuing to stare. "What?" he asked. "What is it?"

Though she was asleep, the lioness continued to move in her sleep. She couldn't find the right position to sleep in that she found comfortable, especially since she wasn't used to sleeping where they were right now. Ugh, why can't I sleep?, she asked herself in her mind slowly opening her eyes. She usually had no problem sleeping the whole night through, but this night was different for some reason.

When she went to open her eyes, she heard the two lions exchanging words. And knowing that they would stop talking once they knew she was awake, she remained on the ground and pretended to be asleep even though she wanted to stretch out from the cramping feeling in her bones.

"Another reason for me to stay, the cubs will wish to see their father, and if they asked, and I said I killed him how would that make me look?" Ra asked, licking mufalas Cheek again

Auni tryed to find words. "Thankyou", he had said. He kept this fact at the front of his mind, trying to get that to spur his tongue. Tanga as looking slightly annoyed. Well I am basicly just staring at him, He thought, cursing his disability. He managed a groan. Here we go!. After a couple of attempts (which made Tanga looked slightly alarmed) he found his tongue. " I'm sorry about that. Staring and groaning I mean. I have partial muteness, so I sometimes lose my words. I think the shock of waking up to... that brought it on." He shuddered at the memory. "Anyway, enough of my problems. What's eating you? And no-ones told me what happened when I was knocked out." He looked at Tanga. "You can tell me what's wrong." He said softly. "I'm your friend."

Tanga's shocked expression turned to sympathy as Auni explained his partial muteness. "I...I'm sorry, I didn't know," he said slowly, hanging his head as he thought about such a disability. For a lion like him, such a problem probably would not be too much of a disability, since he had spent his entire life alone, but without ever being able to experience it himself, he would never be able to tell.

Auni's series of questions snapped him back, and he struggled to answer. "Mufalfa's dead," he said, rather emotionlessly considering what he thought about the lion in question. "And Ra and Neru have run off. Imani, well..." he looked over at the sleeping lioness, unaware that she was listening in. "...Imani took care of everything, to put it lightly."

He stared at Imani once more, trying desperately to sort out his confused and strange emotions. But all the sight of the lioness sleeping in the moonlight did was cause his thoughts to fade to nothing as he was reminded of how beautiful he thought she was. He sighed once more, still confused as to whether he was crossing the line between friendship and love, or whether he was just going insane after what was the most eventful day in his life.

But he pushed that out of his mind as he turned back to Auni. "Sorry, it's been a...big day, to say the least," he said. "How are you, anyway? Are you hurt at all?"
