Mheetu froze up from Vitani's nuzzle and his cheeks flushed for a moment before disappearing, "No Mufasa wouldn't have wanted you to be sad." he said with a slight smile across his muzzle. He knew Vitani was hurting but he also hoped she wasn't losing her mind trying to keep in her sadness, he just watched her safely. He looked to his mother and smiled, "I will miss you and tell me what do those cubs look like bigger now? I remember when they were just born, how small they were." he said with a smile.

Marrone stepped back a few steps and joined Alma's side and he looked up at the sky, he could smell the heavy scent of rain. "Soon Alma, very soon." he said proudly. The rainy season marked a big change for the Pride, well with the crowning of the new King and the hope of the 'Morning flower growing.' He waited till he saw Tempesta, Delano and Maximus. "Your welcome to eat Sarafina and Shujaa, I know you have a long trek back to the Pride lands in the morning." he said loudly enough so everyone could hear. He watched Dyanna continue her conversation with Sarafina and a idea passed through his mind, he padded his way to Tempesta. "Tempesta, Can I have a word with you..?" he said ushering her to the side.

After her long day of dealing with Delano and the others, she threw her hunt down and took a quiet moment. She watched Dyanna run around Sarafina and she sighed, she never paid attention how much Dyanna missed having her mother around. Her ears twitched forward as the King addressed her and she stepped to the side, "Ahh..yes...What is it?" she questioned him softly.

Sarafina smiled at Vitani's nuzzle, "You will be a great Queen Tani, your father also knew that." she said with a smile. Hearing Mheetu's question she smiled, "Kiara looks just like your sister, except with beautiful blue eyes. She's so beautiful, truly a future Queen to another. Kopa is just like Simba, I mean they are twins at times. I know in my heart that he will be crowned King. Chaka is different bus hes special in his own way, he will be a good advisor to Kopa." she said softly and looked over at Marrone, she noticed he was chatting with a lioness that resembled Dyanna. Sarafina's mind thought for a moment and she nodded understanding, "Dyanna, would you like to come stay with me? In the Pride lands?" she asked softly with a smile. "Id take care of you and you'd get trained, you'll meet the other cubs we have." she added.

Dyanna's blue eyes widened at the idea but then she looked to her sister, "What about Tempy? I-I- shes all I got." she whispered softly. She looked up at Sarafina and then back to her sister.

Marrone looked down at Tempesta, "I knew your mother well, she is very proud of you Tempesta. But she always wanted more for Dyanna, shes a smart cub." he spoke calmly. "Maybe if you'd let her go with Sarafina to the Pride lands, she'd be able to..."

"No....send her away with some stranger?" she growled softly. She stepped away from the King and over to Sarafina, "Don't fill her head up with Silly ideas of being a Princess." she snapped and pulled Dyanna back with her paw.

Dyanna oomph at the quick pull from Tempesta and she whined,"But Tempy...I want to go.." she mumbled softly.

Tempesta looked down and let out a heavy sigh, "Dyanna...I..."

Marrone stepped up to the group, "The rainy season will be hard on Dyanna because you have your duties to handle and she has no one to take care of her." he added now loud enough. "I'm proposing you take Dyanna with you Sarafina, take her to the Pride lands." he instructed.

Tempesta looked up at the King a wave of shame and hurt crossed through her and she stepped back, "Your all I have left..." she whispered softly now down at Dyanna's level.

Sarafina's green eyes looked at Tempesta, "She will be taken care of, fed, trained. I raised Mheetu and did a fine job." she chuckled softly. Sarafina looked to Tempesta, "If she wants to go back to the jungle I wont hesitate to bring her back." she added whole heartedly.

Shujaa looked at Sarafina. "You have such a kind heart, my love," he said, giving her a nuzzle.

[changa]

"Zuwa," Himili said, tearstains still on her face, "Please try to control yourself. This is hard for Vitani, so be cautious around her. Okay?"
"Yeah," he sniffed, "Okay. So, Dyanna..." He looked up at the new faces she was talking to, and heard their conversation. "Dyanna, you can't leave," Zuwa exclaimed. "If she's leaving, I am too!"

[Songo]

Marrone shook his head at Zuwa, "No Zuwa you have a family that loves and cares for you. This is something Dyanna's mother had asked of me long ago..." he said quietly. He looked to Tempesta his grey eyes flickered, "She will be fine. Sarafina is good..the Pridelands are alot easier then were we live. A cub coming and going on her own is dangerous." he said sternly. Marrone had already made up his mind and he knew Tempesta had too, it was saying goodbye that would be hard.

Tempesta nodded, "Dyanna, come visit if you don't like the Pridelands. I'll always be here.." she whispered licking her sister's cheek. A few tears formed in her eyes causing them to blur her vision and she stepped back looking to Sarafina. "Then take her with you...Protect her. Because if she gets hurt I will hunt you down and..."

"Tempesta! Thats enough." he snapped, "Dyanna will be fine.." he said in a orderly tone now. He nodded to Sarafina, "Eat, sleep and leave when your ready." he said with a smile. He then turned to the rest of his Pride, "As for the rest of you our provisions are low. We are going to have to work a little harder this year, but its a special year for us all. The rainy season is not far away and we all need to make sure we are prepared and cautious." he spoke loudly.

Dyanna smiled at Sarafina and she ran to hug Tempesta's leg, "You'll always be my favorite sister." she giggled softly.

Tempesta smiled tears softly sliding from her eyes, "I'm your only sister squirt." she said pulling her for a tighter hug. "Make mother proud.." she whispered.

Mheetu nuzzled his mother's neck, "How do you do it...?" he said with a smile.

Sarafina nuzzled Shujaa back and then Mheetu, "I just know things." she smirked. Her green eyes watched Tempesta and Dyanna say good bye, "Well eat up Shujaa, well make it back home in no time."

[changa]

"No! Dyanna, you have to stay! Mom, make her stay! Please!" Zuwa screamed. "She can't go! We have to go with her, make sure she's safe, Mom! No, Dyanna! A horrible thing has happened today already, and you've ruined it even more!"
"Zuwa, this is her choice. She wants to go,"
"Well, well, you're stupid, Dyanna!" he shouted, and ran off, before disappearing over the horizon.
"Oh, Zuwa... Maximus, please! Help!" She ran off, following her son.

[Songo]

Dyanna's eyes filled with tears his words stung her deeply, "W-what did i do? Sarafina?" she went to chase after Zuwa but felt Sarafina's paw scoop to keep her back.

Sarafina shook her head, "I think Zuwa is going to be sad to see you go. Give him a moment...let his mom explain to him." she said softly. Her green eyes looked down at Dyanna and she nuzzled her cheek, "Sometimes it hurts the ones that love us most to watch us leave." she added looking to Mheetu.

Tempesta watched Sarafina talk to Dyanna and she nodded, its what was best for Dyanna. She kept thinking and she stepped to Delano's side and placed her face in his fluffy mane. Tears softly left her eyes and she sniffled pulling herself away, she looked up at him. "I'm going to miss her, ill be alone now..." she muttered softly.

[changa]

Zuwa sat in the middle of nowhere, exhausted. His face was tearstained, and bloodstained, from tripping. Himili came up to him, but didn't get too close. "Why, mom? Why?"
"Oh, sweetie," she said, putting a paw around her son, "It's okay. It's where she wants to be."
"Then I want to be there too," he whimpered.
"I know, honey. I know."
"Who will I play with? It will be boring! There's no one else, so... what am I gonna do?"
"We'll work something out."
"No you won't. You say that, but you don't mean it. I'll be bored forever." He paused to sob. "I feel stupid, crying like a newborn."
"It's okay to cry. I'll miss her too."

Maximus say his son and mate run by, a sigh escaped his mouth as he through the carcass into the den and bolted towards his family. "Himili." She paused, he looked down at his sobbing son. "Zuwa, it's okay." He tried to calm his son. "When I was a cub, my father kicked my best-friend's-family out of our Pride." He paused to take a deep breath. "I was devistated, I was young and had no other cub in the pride to play with. I still got through it, like a cub should." He sighed. "After I left my pride, not wanting to be prince. I found her again and we made a lovely cub." He smiled, nuzzling Himili. "You'll get through it, and see her again one day." A smile spread across his face, as he licked Zuwa and Himili.

Vitani smiled at Dyanna, Sarafina and Shujaa. "I hope to come back to the Pridelands soon." She paused. "When you see Simba, Nala and the cubs, can you tell them i'll be home soon?" She asked, plastering a wide smile across her face. Another question popped to mind. "Has Simba and Nala chosen an heir?" She asked. "Father always told me he wanted Kopa to be future king." She added with a nod. Remembering the image of small Kopa, Chaka and Kiara, and then imaged the details Sarafina told Mheetu. A smile slowly inched up her face. "Beautiful." She whispered.

[changa]

"Really? When?"
"Every once in a while. The Pridelands are very green, I'm told. We can go and play with Dyanna, and the heirs to the throne, as well."
"Now?"
"Let's wait until the rainy season is over."
"Okay!" The young sparkle in his eyes was back. "I... I guess I'll say good-bye then." Himili nodded, and Zuwa raced off.
"Thanks, sweetie," Himili said, and licked her mate on the cheek.

[Songo]

Sarafina hugged Vitani, "Of course Tani'. We'll let them know how much you miss them. I hope we get to see you and Mheetu soon." she said with a soft smile. Her green eyes gazed down at Dyanna, "You better eat up because we have a long trip tomorrow little one." she added and ripped off some meat for her. She then went back and pulled of some for Shujaa and herself before eating it down, she looked to Marrone and nodded.

Mheetu ate some food and watched the Pride chatter on and on about the rainy season, finally he looked to Marrone. "King, What IS the rainy season exactly? he asked wondering, he knew he was probably the only one wondering.

Marrone chuckled at Mheetu's question, "Well....Long ago.." he stated beginning the story.

'My father use to have this dream where he was sitting beside a waterfall and their was greenery all around him, surrounded by flowers. He had this dream for many years, until finally he woke up and took me and my mother out the the Pride lands. We walked and walked miles and just when my father was about to give up and go back, we discovered the waterfall. I remember him telling me it was just like he pictured it quiet and beautiful, he then started to create a Pride. The first year was the roughest and naturally only the strongest survived, because the rain out here falls hard for days on end. It doesn't stop sometimes and continues to pour, its good for the flowers but its bad for us. It was harder to hunt and harder to stay alive but he used the dens and fixed his own problems. The end of the rainy season my father noticed these glowing orange flowers up by the waterfall, they were big and bright and bloomed only with the abundance of rain. He took that flower and had his first Crowning session, where he promised the lions of the Nero Pride that next year would be different.

Marrone's grey eyes looked up at the waterfall and he inhaled the scent of rain, "My father called the plant the 'Morning flower' because it bloomed in the morning when the sunlight's rays finally beat out the clouds." He nuzzled Alma's neck and sighed. "My father was a tough King, but he knew what it took to survive and his Pride was obedient because they wanted to live. But this year, when the morning flower blooms I will be Crowning my own heir." he spoke out loud to the Pride.

"So its going to rain alot...oh great." Mheetu retorted rolling his eyes. He wasn't looking forward to being wet all the time or being covered in mud from doing the patrols. He laid to his stomach and rested his head on his paws, "Its going to be a long season.."
