[Closed] Trials in the Pridelands

Nala stepped towards Simba and gave him a loving nudge, betrothed or not she had fallen in love with her long time friend. Nala nudged Simba and she made her way up towards the top of Pride Rock, her blue eyes gazed at the sunset. "Beautiful.." she whispered. She laid to her belly and watched the sun set over the Pride lands.

Nuka was waiting. He didn't want Scar or Zira to come by. They'd probably kill him, backup plan or not. "Hey, Shenzi." he said, spotting the hyena. "Good news," he said sarcastically, "I failed my mission."

"Yes, beautiful, but nowhere as beautiful as you are," Simba replied. He admired her beauty for what seemed an eternity. "Your first hunt is coming up. I know you'll do well," he continued.

In the Elephant Graveyard, Shenzi looked at Nuka and sneered. "I don't understand why your parents sent you out there when Banzai, Ed and I were about to dispose of them ourselves back when they came here," she stated.

"Because you couldn't do it. Remember that itty bitty task to kill Mufasa when he was younger? You and your parents all failed. So why not expect the same thing? They sent me because I'm altogether better." He thought he did that nicely. He stretched and looked at his claws, relaxed.

Nala's furry cheeks blushed red and she looked up at Simba, "I'm excited to do my first hunt with Vitani. I plan on making my mother proud." she said giving Simba another nuzzle. Nala's blue eyes scanned the horizon and she looked to the elephant grave, "Simba, what do you think got into Nuka? Causing him to attack you." she asked sadly.

"Whatever, Nuka," Shenzi said before taking off back into the lair. She was only barely keeping her temper down, and didn't want to do anything that she would later regret.

Back at Pride Rock, Simba looked at Nala. "I don't know, Nala. I wonder if he was just jealous or something," he answered. In his mind, he wished he could figure out the answer. "Back on the subject of the first hunt, I know you and 'Tani will do well," he told Nala.

And Nuka waited again. Waiting and waiting and waiting was getting boring. He was going to his parents.

OOC: Ok, I think we've waited long enough. Time to kick off the hunt and Vitani's confrontation with Zira.

Several days had passed since Simba and Nala's announcement and Nuka's exile. It was now the day everyone had been looking for: Nala and Vitani's first hunt. The entire pride was wishing them luck. "Do well," Simba told them. Shujaa went to Nala. "Remember everything your mother taught you and you will do well. As well, be safe," he told her.

Nala stepped out from the lion's den and inhaled sum of the crisp afternoon air, it was time. This hunt was going to set Nala away from all the other lionesses so she could prove herself in her pride. Stepping down the rocky path towards Mufasa and Sarabi, she saw Simba and Shujaa. Nala stepped quickly and nuzzled Shujaa, " Thanks dad. I wont let you down." she whispered softly. As she stepped up to Simba she gave him a warm nuzzle, "Ive never been more ready." she added and her blue eyes looked for her mom. Nala looked to Vitani, "Tani, Are you ready to go?" she asked.


Sarafina made her way from the crowd of lionesses and nuzzled Nala, "You will do fine my love. Make me proud." She spoke softly. Stepping beside Shujaa, Sarafina nuzzeled him. She watched Nala go and her heart felt sadness, "Oh Shujaa, shes grown so fast." she whispered.

"I've looked forward to this day for so long, and now it's finally here," Shujaa said. After wishing Nala well, Simba looked at Vitani. "I wish you the best, 'Tani," he told his sister. He hoped that the two lionesses made a successful kill and that they were safe.
