Another "cub" joins the pride!

[Adofo]

A few hours passed. Adofo was standing in the mouth of the cave for his wife to wake up so they could show off their new daughter.

[Iri]

After roughly another half-hour, Christen slowly awoke, still holding Ekanem. She looked over and saw Adofo. "Were you watching me sleep?"

[Adofo]

Adofo: Yeah.....you're beautiful when you sleep! But even more so when you're awake!

[Iri]

Christen flushed and stood up, with Ekanem still in her arms.

[Adofo]

Adofo: You think they can see her now?

[Iri]

"Nope. I'm going to hide her forever," Christen teased. "Nah... I suppose we can. Where's Sam and Shanon?"

[Adofo]

Adofo: They're outside. Sampson! Shanon! You can come in now!
The brother and sister raced inside.
Sam: Is that her?

[Iri]

"Yeah," Christen said, holding her daughter. "C'mon. I suppose we should just get this over with."

[Adofo]

As they walked outside, the rest of the pride awed and smiled at the newborn princess. Soon Rafiki came up to the couple. He wanted to perform the traditional royalty ceremony. The animals of the land already gathered below.
Adofo: Honey.....can you please let him have her for a moment?

[Iri]

"Well, it's easy for you to say," Christen snapped, holding her child closer to her. "Am I supposed to willingly hand her over and let him lift her at least fifty feet up into the air or something?"
