Kira and Tara cried while Ashar paid all eyes on Roxas. alfajiri felt like smacking Ashar in the face while she watched Maji and Ziwa drink their milk. Then, she got up, and carried Tara and Kira to her stomach and nursed them, while she let Ashar bathe Roxas.

Ashur looked at Alfajiri. Thanks..I appricate it. Ashur loved all his cubs, but for some reason Roxas was his favorite. There was a connection between him and Roxas that made Ashur feel good. Ashur continued to bathe Roxas as he thought of Maua. I can't belive she is dead. Ashur thought to himself.

Yeah right non cub lover. Alfajiri said as she bathed Maji's little body. Maji looked alot like her father. And Ziwa looked like Zira, Tero's "so to be" grandmother. But somehow, Alfajiri felt that Kovu's mother wasn't Zira, but someone else. But most of all, Alfajiri wondered if Ashar would change at all.

Ashur stopped bathing Roxas and looked over at Alfajiri, and gave her a confused look. What do you mean, "Non Cub Lover?" I love all my cubs, Alfajir. What makes you think I hate them? Ashur didn't know what Alfajiri ment, so he waited for a response.

Alfajiri got up and growled at him. Since Maua died you payed more attention to Roxas! I'll kill him right now! She grabbed Roxas away from Ashar. And was ready.

Ashur growled back at Alfajiri. You wouldn't dare! Ashur then knew there was nothing he could do. Ashur just gave up. Roxas would get killed anyways...Ashur then shook those thoughts out of his head. He HAD to save Roxas. Roxas was counting on him! Alfajiri, please...give me back Roxas!! I love all my cubs! I am just paying more attention to Roxas, because he might even die soon!! Ashur cried.

Alfajiri looked back at him. I would dare, and just tell me why you give him more attention to Roxas instead of your daughters! That's all you have left of Maua and you don't even pay attention to them! How could you turn them away?!" Alfajiri put Roxas on the ground. And then, she softly put her paw on him. Tell me or he dies.

Ashur gave Alfajiri a scared look. Nooo! Don't kill Roxas! Please! I love all my cubs.. I am serious! Please...it's just that I... Ashur collapsed on the ground. He felt even weaker than he ever had in his entire life. Alfajiri... please don't kill him Ashur whimpered as cold tears ran down his face.

Tell me why first, then I won't kill him. Then, Alfajiri was about to step on him. She saw he was hurt, everytime Maua was mentioned he'd get upset. "Fine, I won't, but let's go somewhere, me and you, just us." Then, alfajiri put Roxas back. 'Tero watched over the cubs please.

Ashur nodded and got up weakly, and followed Alfajiri. Where are we going? Ashur asked as they left.
