"Gods be good" Nova said, looking down at the floor.

She had only ever encountered hunters once, on her flight from her former kingdom and it was something she wanted to forget. After a while, she looked up.

"Then if you leave tomorrow, you go West instead of North. But avoid the pridelands. I don't think my blood is welcome there" She said.

"I don't want to go to the pridelands. I like my freedom too much" Vex replied to show her mother that she didn't want to go that way.

Ok, but mom what will you do? Will you stay at home? He didn't know what was going to happen.

Tago and Lyra were a little puzzled 'What are the pridelands exactly? Tago asked the lions curiously.

Lyra shook her head 'I have never heard of it before'.

'Sounds like quite a big place to me' Tago said unsure.

'I bet it has a lot of lions. They sound like they could be dangerous. I am glad we are not there if it is dangerous'.

'I don't imagine its dangerous. Just maybe not the best place to live' Tago put in.

"Your father and I belong here. We always have done and always will do" Nova said with a gentle smile.

She looked at Tago and Lyra and frowned slightly.

"The Pride lands is not a place for lions wanting freedom to live. Plus their leader is.... A bit... picky with who joins his pride" She said, wanting to say something bad about Simba, but after the help he'd given them she let the insults slide.

"I might warn them about the hunters though as we pass through" Vex said thoughtfully.

Tago and Lyra nodded at Nova. 'I don't think I would like to live somewhere like that' Tago admitted.

'Neither would I. How could you live comfortable living somewhere like that. We wouldn't want to feel trapped' Lyra said looking down, feeling a bit cross.

'Well I don't think we will be going there Lyra, so don't worry' the lion said looking at the lioness.

"Vex, be sure not to get too close if I were you. You look and smell too much like me. I was exiled, i'd hate for them to catch you as you know the punishment for entering their lands" Nova said cautiously.

"But I am sure if they understand im bringing a warning, they'll back off? Don;t worry mother, i won't do anything rash. Im not like you" The cub joked.

"Heh, you sure arn't. You were always the odd one. But you are so wise, just like the lioness you were named after" Nova said, walking off towards the den.

Vex looked around at the others.

"You;d better sleep. We will leave tomorrow. Ace, go and find Rayn will you?"

Shinova peered across the forest floor. He could smell fresh meat so he knew the coast wasn't clear. Some predator lurked near by. "Meeko you smell that?" Shinova whispered as he listened. He remembered how the Leopards thought themselves smart by leaving a kill and hoping he'd go for it, and then ambush him. Shinova was always to smart for that. He surveyed the forest and listened. It was quiet.

'Ok Vex' Tago agreed. 'Is it definitely safe to go near the pridelands?' The lion asked the lioness feeling unsure of going to a place that could mean trouble.

'I think it should be ok to go, like Vex said, if a warning is being passed on, they should be grateful to us really' Lyra tried to sound positive.

[Shadowfax]

"Yes.. but i've not smelt anything like that before..." Meeko said nervously as he caught the scent of human on the air.

"Let's go back... this doesn't feel safe"

"We'll be fine as long as we make our intentions clear. Do not worry yourselves" The young lioness told them.

'Ok, we will be ok. Just a little worrying that was all' Tago said with a laugh.

'I am sure they will be grateful though for us telling them' Lyra put in.
