The Mystics. *Private Arani and QOPR*

[AdAstrα]

"We can." Ayira said, smiling. "Actually...I'm hearing the voices again. They're coming back! That MUST be a good sign!" she added happily, making Vitani, who still wasn't convinced, frown a little.

[Arani]

"I hear them too. That spirit's to weak, I really don't think it'll be a problem anymore." She smiled.

[AdAstrα]

"I just wish my mother's spirit would talk to me.." Ayira added, sighing. "I wonder if she'll ever forgive me for running away.." she mumbled, more to herself than anyone else.
"She did forgive you." Vitani said, clearing her throat. "She never really blamed you at all. She was just..worried about you. Really worried."
Ayira's ears perked up. "But then it's even weirder!" she exclaimed, "If she never even blamed me, then why doesn't she want to contact me? All those times I needed her and she could have helped me, why did she not?"
Vitani didn't seem to have a good answer for that. In fact, she seemed quite unwilling to discuss the subject any further. "I'm thirsty, I'm gonna go down to the water-hole for a drink." she announced before darting off, surprisingly fast for someone her age.
Ayira sighed again. Did Vitani know something about her mother that she didn't? And if so, what could that be?
She was tempted to follow the old lioness, but instead, she sat down, waiting for Tahi and Huru to emerge from the den, wanting an update of Hofu's condition as soon as possible.

[Arani]

Hatari had never met Ayria's mother. If she had, she did not remember it. "I'm sure she'll contact you at some point." She said with an encouraging smile. "She's probably just... not ready yet." She nudged Ayria in an alomst playful sort of way. "Come on, lets go check on the guys." She got up and started to make her way to the small den.

[AdAstrα]

"Yeah." Ayira said, standing up, "I really hope Hofu's doing ok."

[Arani]

Hatari smiled. "He's pretty tough physically. Mentally is a different story. But all things considered, with rest he should be fine." Her smile grew a little. "You know, I can read others pretty well, and I can tell that he's fond if you already. He's smiled at you more than once, and it wasn't just any old smile."

[AdAstrα]

Ayira suddenly felt all warm and fuzzy inside. "Oh...really? I mean..I thought it felt like he did, but I couldn't be sure." she said, smiling.

[Arani]

Hatari laughed. "My my, how quickly things change these days. You've got a little glint in your eye." She chukcled. "Come on Moon Eyes, lets go check up on him."

[AdAstrα]

Ayira laughed. "And I've known him for what..an hour? It must be magic." Hofu's scent filled her nostrils as she entered the den and as she inhaled it, she felt her heart skip a beat. There really was something magical about him.

[Arani]

Hatari laughed as they walked inside the den, where they saw Tahi and Huru still talking with Hofu, who was still awake and already looking a little stronger. "Hey Hofu. How're you feeling?" She asked him with a smile.
