Tanga had to exert every little bit of self-control he possessed to avoid openly sighing in relief when the lioness he had knocked into supported his objection. He knew that this Mufalfa was dangerous, and the more of them there were, the easier it would be for them to escape this situation without resorting to violence.
Now that Tanga was a last catching up, and the incident that had spiralled so rapidly out of control was settling down, he was finally able to formulate the first hints of a plan. He remember back to his days growing up as a rogue, and some of the things his parents had taught him: Always have a plan for either a hunt or a fight...never, ever just jump in and hope for the best, unless it can't be avoided. That will lead you to death faster than throwing yourself off a cliff.
Suppressing the memory of his parents, which always lead to a painful part of his past, Tanga turned back to the situation at hand, a plan formulating in his mind very quickly. All he wanted to do was resolve this situation quickly and quietly, and get everyone out of here safely. And as long as the two lionesses stayed, he felt he still had a good chance of doing that.
Still, he turned back to the creamy-brown lioness - he was sure her name had been mentoned, but he had missed it - and gave her a shy, warm smile, mouthing a silent 'thank you' to her as he turned back to Mufalfa, trying to put as much sense of authority into his voice as he quiet, timid personality would allow. "Now, what is it you wanted to talk about, again?"
