Nishati stood his ground and waited for Khari to walk away. He knew that his younger brother was going to have to learn when to curb his over-enthusiasm and mischievousness at some point; it was better to try and get that into his head sooner than later because, frankly, Nishati was tired of near-death experiences. They had all had 2 in the space of 2 days. His words were harsh, but they were for the benefit of everyone. Honestly, he didn't care if Khari didn't like what he said. Nishati knew that he had to do what needed to be done.

The stance that Nishati had taken during his...talk with Khari softened a little. His expression did the same thing, but he still kept a keen eye on his boisterous brother.

"When the sun is at it's highest, we'll have to rest I suppose. That means resting out in the open..."

"Huh, what?" Jayma's words snapped Nishati out of pensive state. He looked around a few times, caught out by Jayma talking to him. Oh, yeah, right..." He frowned slightly, but didn't say anything before he began to walk. "As long as we don't let our guard down, we'll be fine." Nishati glanced over his shoulder and gestured for everyone to follow him.

Katania was almost speechless after listening to her older brother shouting at Khari. She wasn't quite speechless, though. That was because she knew Khari deserved it. Still, though, she hadn't seen Nishati like that in, well...ever. In some respects it was really quite scary and it made her even more inclined to stay on his good side. Of course, it wasn't exactly like she was ever going to try aggravating him or anything. The only thing she could do now was follow him and hope for the best.

(OOC: Nishati isn't usually short tempered, but in this RP I guess he could lose his temper again. I think him shouting at Tamra for whatever reason would trigger some emotional stuff. Idk yet lol)

Khari walked a little bit ahead of them, kicking up pebbles and stone's with his paws. He wished sometimes, although these occasions were rare, that he had thought about what he was doing. It made him put his older sister's life in danger, and he nearly died via crocodile attack. Sighing, he just shrugged it off. He had done worst in the past.

Tamra followed her siblings, glancing back at the lake and it's surroundings. She wondered if those amber eye's were really just her imagination or not. However, she didn't want to worry Nishati or Jayma about something like that. Jayma noticed her nervous state and lowered her head down,

"Everything alright Tamra?". The cub gave a little smile and nodded,
"Yeah". She reached up and nuzzled her sister affectionately, getting a nuzzle in return. "Anyway, whatever that was, it can't do anything with Nishati and Jayma around", she thought. They all padded along, not slowly but not fast either. Jayma was aiming to cover some ground before midday though, because covering ground would be essential now.

((OOC: Well, the circumstances surrounding them at the moment aren't exactly normal, so it's probably going to bring out parts of them that haven't been seen before By the way, sorry for not posting for an absolute age. First week back at school and I needed to just get used to it as well as all the work D:))

An awkward silence lay over them all like a blanket. A very uncomfortable blanket at that. Nishati desperately wanted to get some sort of conversation going, but he didn't dare break the quiet. Instead, he simply trudged onward towards the jungle: their - hopefully - future temporary home. It'd at least be somewhere that they could feel safe. Then again, none of them had any idea what could be welcoming them into the unknown depths of the jungle.

After what seemed like hours - Nishati knew that it had only been a few minutes, though - he decided to speak up.

"If anyone sees or smells anything even remotely suspicious then say something, please; I'd rather be informed with false information that not informed of the truth." Nishati paused for a couple of seconds. "Just...for the record. He smiled a little and nodded to the rest of them reassuringly. They had to be alert every second of the day now. Although...maybe he was just being paranoid. Yeah, that was probably it...
