" Oh yes, Kopa and Kiara would've been eaten if Kovu and Vitani did't distract them." Rafiki said. "You know our names?' Kovu and Vitani asked. " Oh yes, Mufasa told me, he said you two have great things in your future." Rafiki said with his ussual ecentric smile. "Ether way Simba, these cubs have a lot of good in them, but Zira and scar fill them with hate." Rafiki said, wacking Zira on the head with his stick.

"But Mom and you and dad said he's evil, that he eat lion cubs by the dozens." Kovu said meekly. "Yeah, that Simba stole our dad's throne." Vitani sid, just as scared. "Now do they look like killers to you Simba?, or you Zira?" Rafiki asked pointing to kovu and vitani.

Simba shook his head. "Those are lies. Scar was the one who stole the throne. He murdered his own brother," he said.

"Those are lies?!" Zira, more enraged than she'd ever been, leapt to try and attack the monkey who dared hit her. "What the two of you are speaking are lies! Mufasa was killed by wildebeasts and the only attempted murder I know of is what you attempted!" she shouted to Simba.

"Don't listen to these Pridelanders" she turned to Kovu and Vitani, "Now come. We should get home before Simba starts up accusations like you came into Prideland territory after his own brats lead you here!" she turned to go, though of course not turning her back on the lion in all this.

Kovu and Vitani stood up. "No, we wanna plaay with Kopa and Kiara." Kovu said. "Yeah, they're our friends and we're having fun." Vitani said. "and we did folow them here to get away from the Crocodiles." Kovu added. " and we did save them." Vitani added.

Simba looked down and back at the cubs, knowing that they were right. He noticed Zira. "Zira. You know the penalty for coming back here," he said.

"What?!" Zira turned to her cubs, shocked by the words coming out of their mouths, and therefore not even paying heed to Simba's petty threat. "You saved...Pridelanders!". Scar's chosen heirs had...oh!

Bringing her paw up she slashed Kovu hard across the face, "You don't deserve the promise Scar put in you! Either of you!" her paw came up again, aiming this time for Vitani...

Simba leaped at Zira, trying to stop her. "Zira, stop! Now!" he ordered, preparing to knock her off her feet.

Kovu and Vitani quickly ran behind Simba and Nala. More scared of their mother than the king and his mate.

Zira growled, backing up. She debated pushing past Simba and even Nala to get at the cubs, but then...they had just turned their back on the lion to take them in and give them a purpose even...

"Fine! Keep them!" the spat, glaring at the cubs, "I'm through with you". She turned and strode off. Well, atleast she and Scar still had other followers and family...she just prayed this didn't mean they would have to make Nuka actually good at anything...since that was hard task...
