[Open] Ahadi and Uru's Reign

Ahadi gave a small sigh of relief. In his mind, he hoped that his father would be around just awhile longer. Indeed, it would be a sad day when Mohatu, the greatest king that the Pridelands had seen in a long time, finally died. "Father, I will try my best to be as good a king as you were," he said.

Mohatu smiled, but did nothing else, for he had not even the strength to open his eyes. However, he was immensely proud of his cub. I know you will be a good king, my son...

It was rare to see Ahadi express intense emotion other than his infamous quick temper, but at the moment, he was experiencing deep sadness. He hoped that the lionesses made it back soon. A short time later, they did. In that moment, Ahadi tried to hide the obvious grief on his face from Uru. "I'll be fine, Uru," he said in a rather unconvincing tone.

Uru was not fooled, but she knew she could do nothing to help him, nor his father. But perhaps she could take his mind off it for a while. "I'm having cubs," she blurted.

Ahadi's jaw dropped open when he heard those words. A moment later, his sadness turned to a blend of joy and excitement. "That's great! When did you find out?" he said.

Mapito rose from her favorite spot in the grasslands, upon hearing the call for hunting. "Come on, girls! Time to grab some grub!"

Ahadi continued looking into Uru's eyes, waiting for an answer. "Uru, when did this happen?" he asked again.

[Daenerys]

Harufu was also excited about this announcement, when it was completely out of the blue. "Oh this is wonderful Uru! I can't wait to see them!"

Ahadi turned to his mother. "Thank you, Mother. I am excited as well," he said. He then looked at his father. "Did you hear that, Father? Uru is pregnant," he stated, pride beaming from his eyes.

"Come on, girls. I'm not kidding," she nudged one, growling slightly.
