"A bit. Back home, the lionesses did most of the hunting. I was given a lesson or two, but nothing major. I'm willing to help you though," Cheza replied. For a moment, he remembered the brief lessons in hunting that his mother and the other lionesses had given him, hoping they would be enough.

Kipekee smiled. "I got on to the hunting party about a month ago, they needed more help". She got down from the tree and padded slowly, towards the antelope. "Come on then, just stay low" Kipekee whispered to Cheza.

Cheza followed her closely, attempting to not step on twigs or anything that would make too much noise. For his first major hunt, he was determined to be successful. He was ready to strike when the moment came.

Kipekee had chosen her target, and oldish looking antelope with a limp. "Easy target" she whispered. Kipekee walked in a circle around the antelope and got into position. She nodded to Cheza to make a break for it.

Cheza did as instructed. He made a break for it, and the hunt was on. In his heart, he hoped they succeeded.

Kipekee watched as Cheza chased the antelope. As soon as it got near enough, she pounced and pulled it to the ground. Kipekee struggled to keep it there, "Hey, get over here and help me" she shouted at the worn out Cheza. She bit into the antelope neck, but she hadn't noticed it was already dead with shock. "No problem now anyway" she laughed.

Cheza smiled proudly. "We did it," he said as he tried to catch his breath. "Kipekee, you can have the first bite," he told her.

Kipekee smiled and torn into the carcass, Cheza joined in aswell. In not much time they finished it off. "Now that was food!" Kipekee said happily.

"Yeah, it was," Cheza said. He sighed. "Listen, I want to thank you for helping me like you did. I appreciate it," he told Kipekee.

"It's really no problem" Kipekee replied. Soon a week had past, it had been a relatively easy week. They hunted well and had no worries. One evening they were both lying under the star studded sky. "Beautiful, isn't it?" Kipekee asked.
