"Alone?" Shinova asked the meerkat. "I wonder what he could be doing out here in the Jungle. He kind of reminds me of that meerkat that Simba sometimes had around him. Perhaps he could be of use to me." Shinova began to consider the usefulness of the meerkat. "Perhaps he could be the friend I need that isn't obsessed with killing Simba or taking over his pride. It would be good to have someone that wasn't overly obsessed with taking someones kingdom let alone life."

"Would you like to come live with me?" Shinova asked with uncertainty. "It would feel good to not be alone. I'll make sure my friends," Shinova was saying with a gesture signaling that they weren't the best, "don't hurt you."

[Shadowfax]

Nova shook her head.

"No.. I'll be fine. I need to be able to walk again" Nova said, limping alongside Mio, determined not to show weakness.

The meerkat considered Shinova for a moment. He hesitated with his reply momentarily, but soon found his words again.

"More lions?" He said nervously.

But when Shinova mentioned he wouldn't let any harm come to him, he smiled gently and scurried down the tree, stopping at the foot of it.

"Im Meeko. What is your name?"

Nova if your in pain no is here to judge you , be yourself. No one will tell you how to live your life anymore.

"Im fine" Nova lied, though she did not grit her teeth as the pain rushed through her body.

She was determined to push herself to remain strong. If she gave into this pain, she would never forgive herself. She was not going to forget the lessons Scar taught her.

I knew you were a strong lioness. I am glad I am your friend he purred as he nuzzled her as the were walking out of the den. So do you want to split up or find him together?

Nova smiled and allowed Mio to nuzzle her. She looked around once they were outside the den and raised an eyebrow.

"Hmm... I don't know this place very well so it's probably best we don't split up" She said thoughtfully looking over her shoulder.

Alright lets go this way. As he pointed to an area where he think Shinova would have gone. Did I ever tell you the story of how I ended up in the Pridelands?

"No. I remember you arriving at the pridelands, but that is all" Nova said thoughtfully, her eyes focusing ahead as they walked through the jungle side by side.

Well it started when I was Shinova age and me and m parents were rogue. When my father was goin to teach me to stalk my prey my mother was attacked by hyenas when we were going to help her my father got attacked by more hyenas. They both told to run as far away as I can. They brought the same amount of hyenas that scar had with him at Priderock. So I ran and passed out somewhere in the pridelands. Mufasa was the one who found me while patrolling and he noticed I as alive and he took me in and let me have a home. My parents never made it back to see if I was ok. So I have a severe anger towards all hyenas.

"Im sorry. That must have been hard for you" Nova said sincerely.

She looked to the floor. There was much of her past she had not shared before and she intended to keep it that way. She hadn't had the easiest cubhood and she hated the memories it bought back.
