Vitani nuzzled their daughter as Kopa held her. Saba felt really reassured after the talk. She was now more determined to do her best if she was ever picked when the time came.

Time had passed once more. Nguvu and Saba had now grown into adolescents. Nguvu was a handsome young lion with the scruffy beginnings of a mane, and Saba was a very pretty lioness. Kopa was very proud of the progress they had made.

Vitani was also very proud of both of her cubs. Whenever she looked at Nguvu she was reminded of Kopa when they were both younger.
