Saba was lying down next to her brother when the two came in. Vitani carried her outside without saying anything.

Kopa followed Vitani outside and looked at Saba. "Saba, your mother and I want to talk to you," he began.

Saba looked at her parents with a confused expression, "What about?" Vitani figured she should start and said, "Saba, what caused you to say what you've said you your father?"

"Well, she told me that she didn't want the responsibility of being a ruler," Kopa said in order to motivate Saba to talk.

Saba was silent for almost an entire minute. "Mom, it's just, uh..." her mother didn't seem like she was going to leave before she got an answer, "This is too big for me..." her mother responded rather quickly, "What makes you say that?"

"Yes, Saba, what makes you say that?" Kopa asked by way of keeping the talk going.

Saba again took a long time before answering. "I dunno... It just is..." there was silent for a moment before the cub spoke again, "What if I mess up?" that was exactly the answer Vitani was expecting to get. "Saba... everybody makes mistakes..." she said, placing one of her paws on Saba's back.

"Your mother is right, Saba. For example, look at Great-Grandpa Mufasa, the greatest king the Pridelands have ever seen. He made the mistake of trusting Scar," Kopa explained. He then thought of other examples from the dynasty and listed them.

Saba looked at her father nervously, "But that got him killed." Vitani noticed that and quickly used her soothing tone, "What your father is trying to say is that making a mistake does not mean the end of the world... Everybody makes mistakes..." Saba was about to speak again but her mother cut her short, "Saba, I can see how you always try to please us, but you don't have to be perfect all the time... Nobody's perfect." Saba looked at her mother who spoke again, "What will please us is you starting to believe in yourself, for your own good as well. Everyone needs confidence."
