Kopa walked over to his mate. "Vitani, there's something I need to tell you," he said.

Vitani smiled, "Okay." she got up and followed her mate outside, "What is it?"

Kopa sighed. "Saba and I had a talk. She doesn't want the responsibility of ruling, so I have decided that Nguvu will succeed me," he said.

Vitani had her mouth open, "What?" she wasn't expecting that. "But... You said you'd make the desicion based on their actions as they grow up..."

"I know, Vitani, but Saba begged me not to make her my successor. She said she didn't want the responsibility," Kopa explained. He sighed. "I wish things could be different," he added.

Vitani sighed, "Can't you see? She's being insecure... We should at least talk to her..."

Kopa stopped. "I never thought of that. Yes, we should talk to her," he said.

Vitani said, "Promise me that if she changes her mind, that you'll give her an even chance despite what she told you a few minutes ago..." she sighed, "I'm not saying that I think you should pick her over Nguvu, what I'm saying is that they both have the potential... I see it in both of them... And they both deserve that chance, for the good of them and the pride as well."

"I do promise, Vitani. Both deserve an equal chance," he said. He looked to the sky. "I wish the great kings and queens would give me some help with this," he commented.

Vitani added, "And what would improve her confidence if she finds out we still believe in her? Even if she wont be queen, she needs to learn to believe in herself."
