Jay wakes near his mother who now seemed to be even more lifeless than before. Jay looks for any hints of breathing.
“..mom?” Jay says lightly as he nudges his mother.

Jay just plops to the ground and puts his head on his paws not knowing what to do with himself. Half of his world was just ripped away from him unfairly. The other half being his friends of course.

Jay couldn’t help but notice someone was missing. Conal had promised he’d be there, but he wasn’t. Jay couldn’t feel anger right then at that moment. “K-Kayla?” Jay looks to Kayla.
