[Stormy]

Jay wakes near his mother who now seemed to be even more lifeless than before. Jay looks for any hints of breathing.
“..mom?” Jay says lightly as he nudges his mother.

[TheLastLion]

Kayla is startled by a mournful roar.

[Stormy]

Jay backs away in tears knowing that it was over. His mom was gone.

[TheLastLion]

"Jay I-" Kayla hesitates. "I'm so sorry for your loss." She tries to comfort him with a nuzzle.

[Stormy]

Jay just plops to the ground and puts his head on his paws not knowing what to do with himself. Half of his world was just ripped away from him unfairly. The other half being his friends of course.

[TheLastLion]

Kayla gently places her paw on Jay's shoulder to console him.

[Stormy]

Jay couldn’t help but notice someone was missing. Conal had promised he’d be there, but he wasn’t. Jay couldn’t feel anger right then at that moment. “K-Kayla?” Jay looks to Kayla.

[TheLastLion]

"Yes?" She replies solemnly.

[Stormy]

“Wh-wheres Conal? Wasn’t he with you?”

[TheLastLion]

"He was right next to me when we got back."
