Vitani watched her. She listened silently to what Hakara told Renee about. She was glad the story was over. She looked up at Hakara. "If it's alright with you, I'd love to come along on the walk tomorrow." she whispered.

"Of course! You think I'd let you go off without me?" Vitani smiled back.

Hakara laughed and then got serious. "Did I do a good job explaining your life to Renee?" he asked.

Vitani looked down at the ground. "Yes." she said. "You did a pretty good job explaining it."

Hakara sighed. "I didn't know how far I could go in talking about your mother without frightening her. That's why I left out things like Nuka's death and Kovu getting his scar," he said.
