The lion watched Kiara walking off with Vitani, then turned to the Queen. "Maybe. Maybe not, Your Highness, but Kovu's right." He then turned to Kovu, perking a small brow with a look that says, 'We need to talk.'

Vitani grinned and led Kiara slowly away from the group. After a few moments, they reached a spot where they wouldn't be overheard. "Kiara," she began softly, "I'm so sorry. I know that it has to hurt, hearing it. My own blood boils at the thought of.. of him having cubs with her, but theres nothing we can do about it." She grumbled and turned to Kiara, nuzzling her reassuringly. "Please, sister, don't do anything stupid. I.. I wouldn't want to lose the only lioness I.. I love, would I?" She sighed softly and shook her head before drawing Kiara into a hug. "No matter what, I'll stand by you. I will help you."

Jasmine smiled, unsure of her sisters thoughts, she knew something was wrong otherwise vitani wouldn't have rushed Kiara away from her.

Kiara huged Vitani in return and began to cry "how could they do this to me" she asked, she knew Vitani never had the answer but she asked all the same "Vitani I really thought he loved me, but then he met Jasmine and that soon changed, it kills me and I know I will have to get over it but Zira keeps telling me..." She stopped, she had already said too much, she knew if she told anyone that she heard Zira telling her to do things they would think she was mad.

Vitani put a paw gently on Kiara's back and looked at her sister, her expression soft. "Zira keeps telling you what, Kiara? You can tell me anything. I'll believe you." She stroked her back with a paw once more, trying to calm Kiara down.

Kiara looked right into Vitani's eyes and somehow Kiaras eyes seemed to change, she had Zira's eyes, she shook her head and looked to Vitani again and her eyes were normal again "it was Zira that told me to leave and at the water hole she told me to kill Jasmine and then just now she told me that I have to kill the cubs, I don't know what to do Tani, I can't get her out of my head, is this all my fault because I didn't save her" she asked Vitani,her eyes still flooded with tears

"It isn't because you couldn't save her, Kiara," she said softly. "It is because the spirit of Zira needs a host to live in. There must always be a source of malice in this world, but it won't be you. You are gentle and kind." She sighed softly and looked at Kiara, wiping a few tears from Kiara's face. "You aren't meant for this violence. You can overcome it. Just like I did. I can help you. If you'll let me help you. As your sister." Vitani looked at Kiara, a new light in her eyes. She felt terrible for Kiara. Her mother had found a way to live on, it seemed, and she needed to find a way to stop it. "Remember what you said, Kiara, Pride loves pride. Those cubs will be pride, and no matter how much we don't like the fact that they will be Kovu and Jasmines' cubs, we need to find a way to accept them. Together. If you'll allow me."

Kiara smiled towards Vitani as she tried to pull herself together and stopped crying "I will need help" she told her "and you are about the only one that can give me that help" she told her "we can't tell Jasmine, she won't understand, but we will have to tell Kovu, not for me but for the safety of Jasmine and the cubs, and I think it would be better coming from you, only you and Kovu truly understand how manipulative Zira can be" she explained

Haij decided to walked off to find Kiara, worried about her. "Kiara," he roared out. "Kiara!?"

Vitani nodded slowly. "No more talk of hurting anyone by leaving though, Kiara. Stay with me, please. I'll do everything I can to help you." She embraced Kiara once more before turning to face Pride Rock. "Shall we go now, Kiara, or do you want to stay out here for a little longer?"

Kiara smiled "I knew you had a soft spot somewere" she joked "and I don't plan on leaving you any time soon" she reassured her,she then heard Haij calling her "I think we best be getting back" she said as she headed in the direction of priderock.
