Kopa looked at her. "Listen, Vitani. I still remember the moment I met you when you were a cub. Even back then, I could tell you weren't born in the Pridelands, so don't claim that they are yours. They are mine and my daughter's," he stated.

"I see," she said, disappointed at his lack of anger, "Well, in that case, give me your daughter and I'll leave."

Kopa snarled. "Never! I will never let you lay a paw on her! Now go!" he shouted.

"Mom," Jerba croaked, struggling to find his voice in the fear that was beginning to overwhelm him. "Listen to him; he's the rightful king. We need to go..." He stepped back, his eyes pleading Kopa to help him, to save him.

"Jerba!" Vitani scolded, "If you are not brave enough to face this fake king, you will never take the throne!" She slapped him on the head.

Kopa frowned. "Some parent you are, Vitani. Slapping an innocent cub on the head like that merely for being right. Now get out," he stated once more.

"Being right? How wrong you are," she said, chuckling. She clamped her jaws around Jerba and headed towards home.

Jerba head drooped foward as he lost consciousness. Kopa didn't help me... were his last thoughts before vision escaped him. Mom was right. He is no king.

Bianca watched the whole scene from behind her father and watched as Vitani took Jerba away. She frowned and pawed at her father, "Why does she want the Pridelands?" she asked softly. Her hazel eyes looked at her father and then at the retreating Vitani, she shook her head. "Why is she so mean..?" she added to her last statement.
