[Iri]

Chaltuu stormed ahead, not saying anything else. Rage and fury seemed to be radiating off of her pelt. Did he believe in love at first sight, or something? It obviously didn't exist.
Shujaa nuzzled Enzi's arm in a feeble attempt to comfort him.

[Adofo]

Enzi: ......She said no..........the love of my life.......turned me down........

[Iri]

"She's just upset," Shujaa protested weakly. "She'll get over it."
Kapuki rolled her eyes again. Hadn't Enzi known that Chaltuu had never been interested in a mate?

[Can he not do that "running away" thing?]

[Adofo]

Enzi: .......it's not that she's mad.......it's that.......she doesn't love me......

[Iri]

"Give her time," Shujaa assured him. "Enzi, can I tell you something about her?"

[Adofo]

Enzi: .......i guess.

[Iri]

"Chaltuu doesn't believe in love," Shujaa said. "After... Uh, the way she's been raised, the idea of love has sort of been erased from her mind."

[Adofo]

Enzi: So.......since she can't love..........I'll be all alone? .....I should have known.

[Iri]

"Wait!" Shujaa protested. "Wait! There's something else!"

[Adofo]

Enzi: ....what?
