Fadhili noticed the male cub sniff around and crawl towards her. Her blank expression melted into a smile, "He's so cute!" she looked at Marini, "Would you mind if I..." Marini shook her head, "Of course not." Fadhili smiled and gently hugged her nephew.

Mzuri sighed. "Just try not to worry about it Dakari." She followed his voice and put her head on his shoulder. "They'll never break us apart." She then shook her head and said, "It must have been the spy. I don't think the adult male was the spy."

Kujasiri knew that he better keep quiet with Fadhili around.

Dakari started purring as she put her head on his shoulder. He said, "I don't know... he was acting kind of strange... I mean... he asked me what side I was on. Why did he ask that? We're in the same pride right?"

Fadhili's smile only widened as she felt the little cub begin to purr.

Mzuri then said, "Okay if he was the spy Dakari then why is he now dead? Perhaps...Perhaps the spy was someone else and had to kill him to cover their tracks."

Mufalfa smiled at his cubs.

Dakari sighed, "I don't know..." he then smiled and licked Mzuri, "It's been quite a while since we were together like this..."

Fadhili looked at her brother and his mate, "They both look just like you two." she said with a smile.

Suddenly Mzuri's father showed up. "You disgust me you male charlatan!" He laughed and said, "I challenge you to a fight to the death!"

Mufalfa siad, "They look like Marini."

Dakari quickly took a few steps away from Mzuri's father, "Please sir, I don't want to fight you..." he was too small to even defend himself against an adult.

Fadhili again smiled, "I'm sure they're like you too."

Mzuri's father laughed. "You can always die on the way to fight me." Mzuri begged, "Please leave him alone!" Mzuri's father backhanded her across the face. "I do that to her every day boy."

Mufalfa said, "I hope not."

Tears started rolling down Dakari's cheeks as he realised that Mzuri was telling the truth about her father's treatment of her, "Why?! She's your daughter!"

Fadhili, now that she was seeing an actual new born cub, felt like having cubs of her own. She thought about it, and she was now a young-adult.

Mzuri's father laughed. "She is also a pathetic piece of dirt. I wouldn't have looked for her again if her mother hadn't've pressured me. Now I will make her life miserable." He laughed, "My spy will make sure you stay apart."

Mufalfa sighed and laid down, feeling tired.
