Dakari was confused, "Your mother? Doesn't she hate me too?" however before he could get an answer they were both knocked out. Before he could even figure out what exactly was going on he realised that he had to get Mzuri out of there. He rushed over to her side and guided her towards the river. Once he figured they were close enough he pushed her forward, "Go!" he half-whispered half yelled, before running off and heading back towards the pride's den. The way he just saved her made him realise that he still had some feelings for her. Fadhili looked at Gakuru, "Is something wrong?" he just stared at her for a moment and then slowly nodded.

Suddenly when she returned her father smiled, "You went over to see that male that challenged me!" Mzuri had her mouth open. "How do you know?" Her father laughed, "I have a spy within their pride that tells me everything. He is jealous of Dakari getting the power away from him. He tells me everything. That is why you will not see him again." Mzuri tried to hold back tears as her father laughed. He travelled over to the pride the next morning. "You fools tried to kill my daughter! I should skin you all alive for that!" Dakari's parents yelled, "You deserve to be skinned alive!"

Dakari was horrified to see Mzuri's father there the next morning. How did he know? He wasn't too worried though. They were an entire pride while Mzuri's father was there on his own. Fadhili and Gakuru woke up at around the same time, and they were both surprised to find that they were cuddled up to eachother and they both pulled away. Fadhili smiled nervously, "Uh... sorry about that." Gakuru gave her the same nervous smile but said nothing.

Mufalfa woke up. 'Did I sleep? Dang it they are cuddled up! Something could have happened!' Mzuri's father said, "Come near my daughter again boy," he pointed to Dakari, "and I shall skin you alive!" Dakari's parents smiled at him, "Oh good job Dakari! You tried to kill her!" Suddenly a figure emerged right next to Mufalfa who had just passed out. Even though he was older Mufalfa recognized him. It was Kujasiri! He muttered, "Food! Water!"

Gakuru, still nervous, looked at her, "Uh... how come I woke up and you were uh..." Fadhili admitted, "I got a little cold and you were already asleep... I should have asked you first, because we're... just friends and everything..." Gakuru just shrugged it off, "It's okay... It just kind of startled me to find you so close to me when I woke up."

Dakari looked at his mother, and was about to say that he wasn't going to kill her before realising that he shouldn't.

Marini woke up and noticed that she was there all by herself. However a smile appeared on her muzzle when she noticed her 2-days-old cubs cuddled up next to her.

Mzuri's father laughed, "He wasn't going to kill her. He was going to mate with her fools!" It was after that which made Dakari's parents angry, "Is this true?!"

Mufalfa dragged Kujasiri back to Marini and plopped him down right in front of her. "It is your brother. He needs food and water."

Dakari's parents then said, "Look at the pride son. All of us have been hurt and some even killed by her father. He is a ruthless tyrant. You could have gotten him back by killing his daughter. Every one of us have suffered from him except the male over there." (Hint, hint) They pointed to the adult male. Mzuri looked away as she heard her father coming back. "For sneaking out last night you know the punishment." Mzuri winced as she put out her paw and he smashed it.

After clearing up last night's predicament, Gakuru and Fadhili went back to sleep, though not too close to eachother this time.

Marini slowly got up and walked over to Kujasiri, who she could barely recognise now. she nudged him gently trying to wake him up.

Dakari found his parents' statement about the adult a little wierd, but he slowly nodded before lying to them, "I understand."

Dakari's parents siad, "Good." They walked away and soon the adult male came over to Dakari. "Would you like to tell me your secrets. Everyone says I am the ears of this pride."

Mufalfa shook his head, "He needs some water. I can't believe he made it after all of this time without us." He shook his head and said, "Can you help me carry him to the stream?"

Dakari looked at the adult, "Uh... I'd rather not." 'He's wierd...'

Marini nodded at him, "Of course." she looked at her cubs for a moment but figured that nothing will happen to them during the 2 minutes she helped him carry her brother.

The adult male nodded. "As you wish. Just remember whose side you are on."

Once Kuajsiri was carried to the stream Mufalfa splashed water in his face. "Ugh...Where am I?" Mufalfa said, "Safe." Kujasiri recognized that voice. "I remember you."
