Suddenly he pounced, digging his claws into whatever-it-was. He opened his eyes to realize he was clawing dirt. A small meerkat lay between his paws.

Meanwhile, Simba was still busy admiring Nala. "Nala, I'm glad our parents betrothed us. No other lioness could make me feel this way," he said.

Her blue eyes gazed down at Simba and she smiled, "Good. " she said giving a soft chuckle at his words. "Our parents knew what they were doing.." she whispered looking outside the den before turning back to Simba. She nestled her face in his mane and licked his cheek, "I love you.."


Mheetu laughed, "Oh man...if they are anything like us when we were cubs. We could have a trouble maker in there.." he teased. He thought for a moment, "I remember when you and Simba and Nala use to get into trouble." he added smirking.



Ruby looked over at Kovu and Kiara her amber eyes watching them walk away, "Trained to kill your family...Im surprised your father let him stay around." she whispered softly. She looked up at the sky and watched it grow dark and she slowly began to see the sparkle of the stars, she awed at the beauty of the Pride lands. "Kopa, the stars are so bright out here.." she said softly gazing up at the sky. Her attention turned back to Kopa and she smiled, leaning closer to him she gave him a small lick on his cheek.

Vitani snickered, "All the time! Everyday of the week. Then there was you Mheetu, had his heart set on changing his stars." Looking at him with a side smile, "Maybe one of them will be like that, determined. Like you, Mheetu." Smiling a toothy smile and licking his cheek. Remembering when he wanted to leave and become a rouge like his father.

Kopa looked to Ruby, "You can't discipline a lion who hasn't done anything yet, if his mother came here. We would have many reasons to send her off again. Kovu, still has yet to do anything." Explaining the situation, while looking to the stars. "They're the brightest in any land, so I've been told." Replying and licking her on the cheek back. "I'm honored to have you as my Queen. You, are the best thing the Pridelands could have." Smiling at her and thinking about their future.

Kiara screamed, "Who are you meerkat!" Growling and flashing her teeth and a warthog came over the hills. "You two, name yourselves now!" Still growling and showing her white teeth.

Simba smiled proudly. "I love you too. Perhaps we should head back home now," he said, unaware of what Kiara and Kovu were seeing.

"Whoa! Whoa! Look, Mr... uh, lion guy, I just... Don't eat me!"
Pumbaa snorted in warning. "Who are you, and what are you doing here?" Kovu exclaimed.
"Okay. Okay," said Timon nervously, "I'm Timon, and this is Pumbaa. We just found some great bugs. That's all."
"Bugs?" The lion's face twisted into one of disgust.
"Yeah!" the warthog exclaimed, not seeming to care that a lion would possibly eat his friend. "But, we can't get rid of these birds!"
Kovu looked sideways at Kiara.

Kiara gagged, "You eat bugs! That's so gross!" Sticking her tongue out.

Zazu was flying around the Pridelands, searching for Kiara. Finally, he found her. He flew down. "Well, well, Princess, what do we have here?" he said.

Timon coughed. "I am trying to get some grub," he snapped. "Now, get outta here, I don't need another bird to steal my smorgasbord."

Zazu laughed. "Oh I'm not here to eat. I'm just checking on the princess. I work for her father," he said, gesturing at Kiara.
