"I swear, I never meant to go THAT far. It's just.... it's just that this place gives me bad, unpleasant memories." Destiny responded. "But that's no excuse..." She admitted with a sigh.

[Stormy]

Kayla looks down momentarily. She recalls to herself all the times she attempted to help Destiny, but fell short and in some cases made it worse. She knew as a result she and Destiny weren’t super close even now despite her best efforts. She takes a deep breath and looks back up. “Yeah, well, we never do.”

“Destiny.. you know I love you, right? The time you were actually here with us, you were almost like a daughter. DON’T tell Conal I just said that, he won’t let me hear the end of it.” She joked. “I tried my best while your actual mother was gone. But the truth is, I messed up a lot. And we all mess up. A lot. You learn to let that go, though. Don’t weigh so hard on it. I know you can fix it, and you don’t need me for that.”

Destiny was once again struggling to fight her tears, but this time it was for a completely different reason. She wrapped her arms around Kayla, burying her face in her coat. "Yes, I know, and I know I don't say it, but I.." she paused. "I love you, too."

"I need to tell Jade the same as well." She added. "Plus..."

[Stormy]

Kayla stayed quiet as she waited the continuation to Destiny’s “plus”.

"Let's just say I have a lot of apologies to make." Destiny replied.

[Stormy]

“Oh?” Kayla responded, unsure of what else she was referring to. “Well, when you’re ready, you better get to it.”

[TheLastLion]

"I need to do it now while I still have the courage."

[Stormy]

“Well, if you say so.” Kayla says giving her one last hug before letting her go.

Destiny returned the hug before making her way back to the pride. "And Kayla?" She paused.

[Stormy]

Kayla looks to Destiny upon hearing her name.
