The two lionesses did as the queen instructed. It was now time to eat.

Vitani smiled down at her cubs, "Go down and eat." Saba smiled, walked quietly over to the dead animal and began eating slowly.

Kopa ripped into the carcass, blood staining the pale tan fur around his mouth.

After a while everyone was done eating. Saba, who ate a little slower, took a bit longer but she was also done quickly.

Soon, there was nothing left. Kopa then began to try and remove the blood from his muzzle.

Vitani giggled as she saw Kopa attempt to clean his own muzzle. "Here, let me get that for you." she licked the blood from his muzzle and smile.

Kopa liked what she had done. "Thanks," he said, licking her in return.

Saba of course was too young to understand why were the two showing affection to one another. Vitani smiled, "Anytime..."

Kopa turned to the cubs. "If you see Mom and I doing that, it just means that we love each other," he said.

Saba smiled, "That's sweet." she said, "I love you too." she giggled.
