Not saying 'yes' to his parents was getting harder and harder, "Fine, I'll tell you." he hesitated for a moment, but then told them, "After I got lost, I came across another cub. Her name's Mzuri... Well... we're kind of, uh... 'in love', but..." he couldn't continue. Marini sighed, "Don't say that..." she however knew that there was no arguing with him, "You have a second chance at that..." she smiled and looked down at their cubs.

His mother smiled, "Oh Dakari that's adorable. Guess what? We can take her with us. That way we can all go back together and be a family." She didn't know Mzuri was blind...yet. Mufalfa sighed, "Second chance? I screwed up the first chance."

Dakari sighed once more, "I know we can, but there's a problem..." he seemed really apprehensive about telling them. Marini smiled reassuringly at him, "It doesn't matter now. You can't change the past... But you can try and change the future." she got up and licked him on his cheek, "I'm sure you can be a good father to our cubs."

The mother again looked confused, "What is the problem son?" She then smiled and said, "Why don't you introduce your love to us." Mufalfa just smiled and said, "I'll still miss Dakari though."

Dakari got really nervous. However he decided to finally tell them, "A few days after the lion you saw and his mate took us in... Some evil lions came and uh..." he showed her his scar, "They did this to me, and... I don't remember how exactly, but they blinded her... Mzuri's blind." Marini tried to reassure him, "I'm sure he'll remember us."

Mufalfa just nodded. The mother said, "Is that all? Is that what you nwere worried about? What kind of lions do you think we are son? We still would like to see her."

Dakari was relieved, "Really? You don't mind?" he then smiled, "Okay, just... don't mention anything about her being blind, or the way her eyes look..."

The parents nodded. Mzuri heard someone approach. "Whose there?" Mufalfa siad, "Dakari is coming back?!"

Dakari shot his parents a look that again reminded them to not speak about Mzuri's blindness. He then smiled and said to her, "It's me." Marini looked towards Dakari, "Are those his parents?" she asked, looking at her mate.

Mufalfa nodded. "Yes better parents than I ever will be." Mzuri then heard something else, "Who is that with you Dakari?"
