Delano was still fuming over what Mheetu had said. Did he really like Tempesta? Did Mheetu's words have any warrant in them, or was he just making fun of him? Delano and Tempesta where friends. Or was it something else?

While he was thinking, Delano heard someone approach. It was Tempesta. Delano frowned and lowered himself to the ground. The last lion he wanted to see right now in his confused state apart from Mheetu was Tempesta. Too late, she saw him and moved closer.

Delano looked away from her. "Please, go away." he told her. "There's nothing wrong. Just Mheetu said something... he didn't do anything wrong. Just leave. Please" By the end, Delano was begging to be left alone. "Just give me some time. I'll be fine." At the same time as he said it, Delano was already wondering if that were true.

Mheetu shook his head, "Well alright then Princess." he said with a smirk knowing the name annoyed her. He padded beside her as they approached the Wildebeest, "I'll just tag along quietly." he huffed. He creeped low in the grass and stepped away from Addana, "When your ready Princess." he laughed. His golden mane made him stick out like a sore thumb. He enjoyed the sun's warm rays and he saw the herd stir, he unsheated his claws and slunk low.

Tempesta's features frowned at Delano, she stepped back away from him. "Fine then." she growled and disappeared back into the jungle. She ran as fast as her paws could take her, her slender body dipping through the bushes and hoping over logs. Tears filled her turqouise eyes and she blinked them back, if he was going to push her away then so be it. She stepped into the grasslands and spotted Addana and Mheetu, she caught up to them quickly. "Let's go. Attack Addana, start with a smaller female." she ordered, "The one on the end over there." she said pointing with her paw.

Marrone rolled his grey eyes at Nyembe, "You truely are no King." he snapped. "Stop being a push over and start taking charge." he ordered.

Addana nodded, slinking down into a crouch and moving towards her destined target without being noticed by the herd since the wind was blowing towards her. Although she had never been in an actual group hunt, she had oftentimes sneaked out by herself and stealthily slipped a few pieces of meat into her Pride's meal without being noticed by most. Her claws flexed and her hind muscles clenched in preparation of a pounce. Within moments, she was sprinting against the muddy ground, her paw steps thudding rhythmically as they sent vibrations through the earth. The small herd, consisting of only about 15 or so wildebeest, had already turned the other way and were running for their lives in the jungle. All but one got away with theirs, as Addana leaped forward and sunk her fangs and claws into the hide of her prey. It thrashed for moment, before falling limp as she ripped its throat out. She grinned in sadistic satisfaction before more thuds entered her range of hearing. "Hoofsteps?" she questioned softly to herself, head cocked to one side.

"Hide-and-seek? How do you play that?" this new game sounded interesting. Really exciting.

"Yeah. Okay," muttered Nyembe, and he lumbered to his paws. He ran his mane through a bush to remove any tangles, and went up to Vitani. "Hey, Vitani. Want a tour?" he said awkwardly.

Alma nuzzled Madrone, "Calm down." Alma said softly trying to calm the king down.

Delano heard Tempesta run off, feeling glad that she listened to him instead of coming closer. His questions continued to swirl around in his head, confusing him even more. But Delano knew that Mheetu was wrong. He had to be. He didn't know how Delano though. Or did he?

Frustrated, Delano swung his paws at a log he hid next to, hoping to release his confusion and anger at the log. While he was breaking the wood, an idea came to him: if he can't figure it out, maybe someone else can help him. Thinking, Delano couldn't think of anyone to ask. He din't feel comfortable asking anyone in the pride, he didn't know Vitani that well, and Mheetu was definitely out... But what about Tempesta? Delano closed his eyes, thinking. Of everyone he knew, Tempesta was most likely to give an honest answer. Delano reached that conclusion with dread: hadn't he just made her run away in anger.

Now Delano felt a new feeling: guilt. He felt bad for shouting at Tempesta when she came asking him if he was alright. In his own selfishness in wanting to be left alone, he had made things worse.

Without hesitation, Delano sprang to where he hoped Tempesta was at, using her scent to guide him. After a few minutes of painstaking running, he finally spotted her, tracking pray along with Addana and Mheetu. "Tempesta!" Delano called out, making her falter in her tracking and look up. "I need to talk to you, right now!" Delano was hoping that Tempesta would accept, and not ignore him as he did with her. At the same time, he gave Mheetu a nasty glare as a clear "keep away" message.

Mheetu watched Addana make her kill and he quickly looked up at the wildebeest charging at her. Seeing as Tempesta got distracted he grumbled and bolted in the direction of Addana, pushing her out of the way with his massive paws he sent her flying from her kill. In just enough time the wildebeest ran into Mheetu and the lion tumbled along with it, his claws sinking into its skin. A cry from the wildebeest echoed as he tried to stand but fell back down from the weight of Mheetu on his back. Using his paw he thrashed at the wildebeest and then sunk his fangs into its neck, feel the cool liquid seep into his mouth he squeezed harder. Once the wiggling stopped he dropped the beast's neck and ran to Addana, "Sorry for pushing you so hard, I had speed and you almost got kicked." he muttered.

Marrione's grey eyes narrowed as he watched Nyembe go after Vitani and he shook his muzzle, "Where did I go wrong in raising such a coward of a son." he growled still frustrated. "He can't have the responsibility of the throne if he cant even claim his future queen." He laid down in the cool grass a moment and felt the soft breeze pass his mane. "Alma the rainy season is ahead of us, I can feel things are going to get alot rougher." he added looking into her eyes.

Tempesta was low in the grass and she watched Addana make her kill, she was successful and very quick. Her ears flattened back when she heard Delano behind her and she stood up to face him. "I left you alone. What more do you want." she snapped annoyed. Her kill had ran away and Delano hurt her feelings, she reclined to her hinds and her turquoise eyes narrowed at him. But before she could say anything else she saw Mheetu save Addana and she ran to the princess's side. "Are you okay!" she asked softly.

Delano's heart sank when it was apparent that Tempesta hadn't forgiven him. "Wait, Tempesta! I just need to-" but she had already run off to Addana. Delano pawed the ground furiously, before following Tempesta. He opened his mouth to speak, but then saw why Tempesta had run off. "Are you okay, Addana?" he asked instead.

Confusion can wait. If Addana was hurt, Delano would help her out. Then he will try talking to Tempesta. Even Mheetu looked worried.

Vitani laughed. "Well, one player is 'it', and any other players choose a hiding spot. The 'it' lion has to try and find the other players." She smiled, getting to her feet. She noticed Nyembe approaching, "Just don't leave our territories. I wouldn't want any cubs getting lost." Vitani said poking Zuwa's nose and winked. Turning her head to look at the questioning Nyembe, she lightly smiled. "Sure!" Her voice cracked and she blushed.

Maximus brought his kill to the corner of the den made for keeping food. Thinking about making another kill. "Maybe some buffalo or tapir." Saying to himself, as he walked out of the den. Instead of turning to the wildebeest plains, he turned the opposite way and into the deep jungle in search of food. Passing lizards, snakes, butterflies and many birds, he finally found the animal he was searching for. The tapir. A smile spread across his face as he unsheated his claws and ducked into the closest bush, licking his lips.

His legs sprung up and made him fly, he outstretched his arm and paws. Opening his mouth wide, he landed square on the creature. The tapir only struggled for a small length of time, before it died in his grasp. He dropped the meal to the ground, licking the blood from his lips. Grabbing the animals neck he swung it back and the creature landed on his back.

Maximus turned on his heal and walked back through the dark jungle. Killing birds that got in his way. By the time he got back to his den, he had three bird lodged into his mouth. He dropped his kills over top the wildebeest carcass. Again, he smiled and walked out of the den to find Zuwa, who was sitting beside Vitani and Nyembe. "Son. Zuwa. Come here my boy." He called, sitting where he called from.

"It's not your fault he is a coward it might be me....... as we all know I baby him too much." Alma layed down in the grass next to Marrone, "Yes the pride always seems to have trouble in the rainy season, the mud, less food, but it's alright as long as we keep them in order." Alma said before licking Marrone and lieing down on her paws looking at the pride.
