Kovu followed Neo, not realizing that they had reached Zira again until she was almost right next to them. Not wanting to feel her wrath, Kovu then left his brother and tried to walk away, hoping that Zira would not see him.

"Oh no you don't"he growled dragging Kovu back by the tail there was no way he would take all of Zira's wraith. He kept his head bowed he wasn't sure what he sensed first the sicking sound of flesh being torn or the pain that accompined it. The force was so much he fell onto his side he felt a paw on his chest pinning him and Zira's razor like claws on his neck "I have one thing to say....Mess up like that again and I'll slit your pretty little neck UNDERSTOOD" she growled. "Yes mother" he said quiently

Kovu froze in his tracks when Neo stopped him, only to watch Zira attack his brother. He slowly backed away, seeing how angry she was. Yes, Neo just moments ago had stopped him from moving away, but his brother was now pinned by Zira, and Kovu really did not want to feel the same anger from their mother.

Zira got off her eldest son "Now go do something useful...GO"she roared Neo got up and ran he would be fine if he did what his mother said. Zira breathed for abit before approching Kovu growling at him "Why did you go there."

Kovu shrank back when Zira turned her attention to him. "I... I don't know!" he begged, "I just... I just wanted to have some fun!" He looked away, not able to stare at his mother from fear. "I didn't mean to do anything, honest!"

"You see what happed to your brother its your fault rember that Kovu"she growled "rember that next time you want to have some fun."

Kovu nodded quickly. "I... I will," he muttered quietly, and rushed off, leaving Zira behind. He ran after Neo, and quickly caught up to his brother. "Neo! I... I'm sorry!" he called out. "I didn't want to get you into trouble!"

Zira muttered to herself as she walked away, Neo looked at Kovu his wound still bleeding a trail of blood on the savanah. He sat down "it's fine"

Kovu gulped with nervousness. Sure, Neo said that it was nothing, but his brother could still be harboring some darker feelings. "What are you going to do now?" he asked, hoping that he would get an opportunity to leave Neo alone without simply walking away from his brother.

He stood up and started walking back to the termite mounds "go home wait until tomorroW".
