"When you saw the barren lands, you should have turned around. If I didn't get there in time, you would have been killed. I don't want to lose you." Vitani replied. "Come on. It's almost sunset, and I want to be there when Malik and Mema take their rightful place." She picked up Renee and started running. When they reached their home, she dropped Renee and ran up to Malik. "Are you and Mema ready?" she asked.
"I am." Malik replied. He turned to Mema. "Are you ready?"

Mema nodded. "Yes, I'm ready," she said.

"Okay." Vitani replied. She looked up at the sky, and then down in the clearing. "Whenever you're ready." She then jumped down and sat, waiting in the clearing.
"Come on." Malik whispered to Mema, then walked up to the top of the rock, and waited for Mema.

Mema came down to Malik and took her spot next to him.

Malik then took his place, and waited for Mema to do so as well.

Malik twitched his tail, letting Mema know now was the time, then roared as loudly as he could.

Vitani joined in. Malik stopped after a little while and sat down, watching over everyone.
