When You Need To Move On (DGFone and VitanisMate)

Frank groaned and rubbed his head where the monkey had hit him. He wanted to make another come back to Rafiki's statemented, but figured that it wouldn't do him any good. "It better be temporary!" Sighing, he walked off in the direction he last saw Kopa and Vitani.

Vitani laughed a little when Kopa fell, but her laughter turned into a gasp of horror when she waited but didn't see her friend get back to the surface. "Kopa?" she asked, looking around for any sign of him. "Kopa, where are you?" Not knowing what to do, she called for help, still looking around for him. Finally, she could wait any longer. Ignoring the fact that she was a poor swimmer herself, she jumped into the water, felling around for him.

Water blinding her eyes, she felt around and finally felt the furred body of Kopa. She grabbed his neck with her jaws and struggled to the surface, breaking through just in time to gasp for air. But she then realized that while she was able to get Kopa to the surface, she wasn't strong enough to bring the two of them to the ground. Supporting his wight with her body, Vitani called for help again, hoping that it would arrive before she would get to tried to keep her and Kopa above the surface.

Kopa was holding on for dear life.

Meanwhile Zazu kept flying looking for help until he saw Frank. "Oh my goodness! Frank please hurry! The cubs are in trouble! This way! Come on! Hurry up!"

Vitani was beginning to struggle in the water, her strength leaving her as she kept both herself and Kopa above the water's surface. Knowing that she won't be able to hold on for much longer, she again called out for help, hoping that someone would here them.

Frank was shocked to hear that they were already in trouble. He chased after the bird, trying to remember its name. "Zazu! Just tell me where they are and then go get their parents!" He called out. "You don't need to lead me all the way to them!"

Zazu quickly said to Frank, "The waterhole! They're drowing over at the waterhole! Hurry!" He quickly flew away and quickly flew towards Pride Rock. He saw Nala and quickly said, "You must hurry! Kopa is about to drown! I'll lead the way! Frank is already there trying to get them out but we must hurry!" He quickly started to fly.

Nala felt her heart sank when Zazu told her what was happening. "No! Go get Simba!" She shouted, breaking off into a sprint towards the waterhole. She knew that Kopa couldn't swim, much like she wasn't able to when she was a cub, but now she needed to get to the water hole as quickly as she could. She ran, hoping that by the time shoe would get to Kopa, she won't be too late.

Frank reached the waterhole, and stopped, panting for air as he looked around for Kopa. He found both Kopa and Vitani in the water, clearly having a hard time to stay afloat. "I'm going to get you out, just hang on!" Not knowing if he himself would be able to swim now, Frank jumped into the waterhole as well.

He found that he was indeed able to keep himself up, and swam over to Kopa and Vitani. "Grab onto me!" he instructed, and waited until he felt the two of them on his back. After that, he slowly began to swim to the edge, looking for a place to get out of the water. He found one, and after a few attempts, hoisted himself onto the ground.

Kopa immediately started coughing and shaking as he looked around, a little shaken up by what had just happened. He quickly said to Frank, "Thank you," before looking at Vitani and saying, "Vitani, I uh," he couldn't put it into words, "If you hadn't saved me I'd be dead. Thank you." He looked at her and said, "Are you feeling alright?"

Vitani lay panting on the ground, trying to regain her energy. "Yeah, Kopa, I'm fine," she said, grinning, "you could have just said that you can't swim." She laughed a little at this. "But then it won't be like yourself to admit that you can't do something." As Vitani finally stopped laughing, she saw Simba and Nala running towards them as fast as they could.

Kopa said, "Well I never meant to..." Suddenly he saw his parents walk up as Simba said, "Son! Are you okay?! Are you injured!? Speak to me!" Kopa rolled his eyes and said, "Dad I'm fine really. If I wasn't fine I would be on the ground not breathing." He looked at Frank and said, "Frank saved me you should thank him." However he looked at Vitani and whispered, "Once they're gone we should go back to the waterhole."

Frank realized that now Simba and Nala were looking at him, and it made him feel foolish. "Zazu found me first," he explained, "it wasn't a big deal or anything..." He didn't feel too comfortable being the center of attention right now.

Vitani grinned at Kopa's suggestion. "I would think that you would like to take a break from the waterhole," she whispered back, "but why not?"

Zazu said, "Oh no Frank you truly were the hero in this crisis." Simba nodded and said, "Frank I'm glad you joined our pride because without you I don't know where my son would be right now."

Kopa started shuffling his paws impatiently and rolled his eyes at Vitani, "Geez. My parents will be here with Frank all day!" he whispered in a raspy voice.
