Delano smiled. "Really? Thanks," He slowly got up, yawning loudly. "So, uh, Lina... want to go outside?" He asked. "We can do something together... I really want to make up for yesterday..." He looked over at Lina with a hopeful expression. "What do you think?"

Moto nodded. "Yes, that sounds like the best thing to do," he said, "wouldn't want to rush things." He sat himself down next to Fadhili. "We can wait for them, right?" He asked playfully, looking at her with a smug grin.

Umeme crouched down into the grass when the two of them got close to the wildebeest. "If you can chase it in a way as to make it run to the right," she whispered to Muroki, "I'll be able to get it." She turned her heard to him. "Got it?" Umeme trusted Muroki, but wanted to make sure that he knew his part in the hunt.

Lina smiled at the idea of going outside in order to make up for everything they've missed yesterday. It seemed like they had a lot of catching up to do. "I'd love to." she said, getting up and nuzzling Delano, "Where are we going?" she doubted that Delano had time to plan the day or something, but she still liked to ask.

Fadhili looked at her mate, giggling at the way he was grinning at her. "Of course we can wait for them." she sat down close to him to emphasize her point. "So, anything in mind to pass the time?" she asked, bringing her muzzle over to his and looking into his eyes.

Muroki nodded, "Alright." he looked at her as she began to stalk away in order to get into position. "Be careful though alright?" he doubted there was any reason for him to worry, but he still wanted to show Umeme that he was concerned about her well-being, even if this was going to be just a typical hunting attempt.

Delano shrugged. "Well, I was thinking of being less experimental now," he admitted, "I don't think you will mind if we fall back to our old favorite will you?" He asked. "What about that waterhole?" He flashed a toothy grin at her, before motioning with his head at the den entrance. "So, Shall we?"

Moto was about to think of what to do to pass the time when he got a better answer. "Well, I was thinking that maybe the two of us could..." He was eyeing the entrance of the den, spotting Delano and Lina as they were emerging from it. "The two of us... Oh! Too late, here they are now!" Now he fully turned himself towards the den entrance and the two lions leaving it. "Delano? Lina? How would the two of you mind sitting here with us?" He asked.

Delano had just stepped into the cool outside air, and was about to run off with Lina when he heard Moto call out for them. Not realizing that they were not in trouble, he immediately turned pale and jumped behind Lina, using her as a shield to protect himself from her parents. "Here we go," he muttered quietly to Lina nervously, "what do they want now?"


Umeme slowly crept forward in order to flank the lone wildebeest that would soon be her breakfast. When she deemed that she was as close as she would dare to get without running, she stopped and scanned around for Muroki. She spotted him also in position and waited until he looked at her. She nodded her head to tell him that as soon as he was ready, he can initiate the hunt.

Fadhili eagerly waited to Moto to tell her what he had in mind, but to her disappointment Lina and Delano decided to come out just when he was about to say it. Why couldn't the two wait a few more seconds before coming out so that Moto could at least finish his sentence? Lina looked at Delano with a chuckled, "They're my parents you know... They probably want to make sure we're alright." she whispered to him, before looking at her father. "Okay dad." this probably wouldn't take too long, then she and Delano would be able to go off to be on their own.

Muroki got into position and waited. He saw Umeme nodding at him, but waited a few more seconds in order to be certain that Umeme was in the position she wanted. Once he was absolutely sure that she was ready he executed their plan, scaring the wildebeest in Umeme's direction. Even though Umeme would soon tackle it down, Muroki kept chasing it so that he could help her upon catching up, regardless of whether Umeme would need his help or not.

Delano sat down next to Lina, but still placing her behind him and her parents. He looked at the ground, waiting for whatever they had to say with a pit forming in his stomach. Already, his mind was wandering for the moment that he would be set free and go off with Lina.

Moto let out a slight chuckle when Delano sat down behind Lina. "You don't need to look so scared," the older lion said, "you two are not in trouble. We just want to talk to you."

Delano was able to hear Moto's soft tone, and it gave him the courage to look up slowly. "Talk about what?" He asked. Don't be about yesterday, please.

Moto smiled. "Well, Fadhili and I talked with Muroki and Umeme yesterday, but didn't really get a chance to do the same with you two," he said. "We got a little bit from them about you, but now we can talk to you and get to know each other much better." He looked over at Fadhili. "Want to start?" He asked, knowing that Fadhili would have several questions already prepared for Lina and Delano.

Umeme broke off into a sprint as soon as Muroki forced the wildebeest to run at her. She matched its speed and jumped at its neck, grabbing it with her jaws and bringing the animal down with her weight. Before she knew it, the stranglehold she had over it took its toll and the animal stopped breathing. Cautiously letting go, Umeme got up to her feet, grinning widely at her success. "Hey, look! We did it!" She shouted to Muroki when he came to her side.

She was about to celebrate the moment a bit more when she realized something that really dampened her mood. "We now have to get this back to the den..." she muttered. "But it's so heavy."

Muroki was surprised to find the wildebeest already dead by the time he arrived, considering how much of a fast runner he was. "Impressive." he said with a chuckle, nuzzling his mate. "Looks like you didn't even need my help with taking it down." not that he cared too much, the important thing was that they succeeded. "I'll help you carry it of course, but if we eat first if will be much easier to carry." However he smiled at Umeme and made a gesture with his paw, despite how hungry he was. "Ladies first."

Seeing as her mother wasn't about to say anything, Lina decided to start. "Well, Delano and I met when he and Muroki arrived her after their parents died..." other than that she didn't know what else should she tell her parents nor what else would they even like to know. They were probably aiming to get to know Delano better, so she looked at him just in case he didn't know that the bigger part of the conversation will be between him and her parents.

Umeme smiled and nuzzled Muroki back. "Yeah, but you helped," she replied, "You brought it close to me." Despite that, she leaned down and took a bit out of the kill. "Come on," she said to Muroki, "dig in. The others would also want some of this." She also was eager to tell Lina and her parents how she made this kill almost by herself.

Delano realized that everyone were looking at him, and grew even more nervous than he already was. "Uh, yeah, we met then, and it just kinda grew from there," he said. In his nervousness, his mind completely went blank, which was why he couldn't say much.

Muroki nodded. He had no intentions of not sharing their kill with anybody else whatsoever. He did wait a few more moments however before biting in as well, still maintaining what he said about having Umeme dig in first, out of pure politeness. "Yeah, I'm sure they wouldn't mind having some of it." he said after swallowing what he had in his mouth before digging back in.

Lina chuckled, "It wasn't just like that." Delano's silliness whenever he was nervous was simply adorable in her point of view. "When Delano first came here he was still caught up by the twist of events in his life." she said, turning back to her parents. "In fact you could say he even couldn't see past his own nose..." she giggled at that, "But he came through eventually."

Umeme ate quickly, wanting to get back as soon as possible. She wasn't looking forward to dragging the kill with them, but if dragging it sooner than she wanted was the price for getting back, then so be it. Finishing her meal, Umeme stepped back in order to allow Muroki to finish himself as she cleaned herself from the blood and dirt of the hunt.

Delano blushed when Lina described how he was in the beginning. "Yeah, that's true, though," he admitted, "it took me a while to start seeing the world around me again..." He sighed a little, "perhaps too long." He nuzzled Lina slightly. "Lina helped a lot. If it weren't for her..." But then he smiled. "But in the end, here we are."

Muroki, while he had a rather fast pace at eating, wasn't eating as quickly as Umeme did. He wasn't hurrying anywhere, and it's not like those few moments would chance anything. He too finished eating eventually and, after cleaning up as well, looked at Umeme with a smile. "Alright, all done." he walked over to her and licked her muzzle, chuckling, "You missed a spot."

Lina couldn't help herself from returning Delano's nuzzle, her mind already forgetting the unpleasant event which occurred yesterday. She began to wonder whether this was the answer her parents were looking for and whether they had anything else to ask, but she figured she'd find that out soon enough. Fadhili couldn't help but chuckle at Lina's early description of Delano.
