Nala nodded and didn't say anything for a few moments, letting Kopa a chance to change his mind. After he didn't say anything, she let out a sigh. "Look, Kopa," she said, making that she didn't sound to angry yet, "we talked with Zazu about this... He told us a different story." She eyed Kopa again. "Care to explain?" If she had to, she would tell Kopa what Zazu told her and Simba, but for now, she still wanted to get Kopa to say them himself.

Kopa again gulped and said, "I uh..." he started to mutter again nervously, "I'm not a baby. I just wanted to have fun."

Nala nodded. Now she was getting somewhere. "So you did do something you shouldn't have?" She asked, but her tone made it clear that she knew exactly what. "Want to tell me about it?" Even if he didn't want to talk, she was going to bring Simba here to talk with Kopa soon.

Kopa sighed, "No mom. Can I...can I just go and play with Vitani please?" Meanwhile Rafiki showed up before Frank and told him, "I wasn't lying when I told you to keep an eye on Kopa and that bad things were going to happen. You are to be Kopa's protector. Do you understand?"

Nala let out a quiet sigh. "Alright, you may go," she said, only to stop Kopa the moment he tried to run out the den. "But Kopa, if you try to go anywhere where you are not allowed, it's the den walls you will be looking at for the next few days," she warned. She waited until he nodded before she let him free again.

Frank nearly jumped when Rafiki arrived right behind him. He groaned in annoyance at the monkey's message. "Yeah, I get it," he said, "but you know, it would help to explain what bad things are going to happen to Kopa, seeing as you already seem to know."

Kopa paused for a second before he nodded and said, "I'm just going to the waterhole mom honest." He quickly went outside the den and went to Vitani, "So uh want to go to the waterhole?" he asked nervously.

Rakifi looked at Frank and said, "Oh the Great Kings of the Past will not let me tell you that. Listen, you must stay here and remain a lion or Kopa will die. Remember that Frank. His life is in your hands. He is only an innocent cub."

Vitani smiled when Kopa returned. "Hey, Kopa!" she greeted. She saw that he was clearly nervous, meaning that whatever had happened in the den, he was most likely not going to tell her. "If you want, then sure, we can go there," she replied to his question. She grinned slightly. "I guess you're not planning anything else now, huh?"

Frank rolled his eyes and turned his back to Rafiki. "Wouldn't it be better then to ask a real lion to guard Kopa?" he retorted, "you know, like one that actually grew up as one? One that knows how lions around here work?"

Kopa tried to smile and said, "Uh well there has to be something fun about the waterhole right?" He just shrugged and started walking towards there. Suddenly Zazu flew towards them and said, "I am here to make sure you are going to the waterhole." Kopa said, "Relax banana beak I'm not planning anything." Zazu said, "We'll see..."

Rafiki ignored Frank rolling his eyes and said, "Nonsense the Great Kings of the Past have chosen you especially for this task. Only you can help save Kopa, no one else." He then paused, "There will be much heartbreak ahead," he said sadly.

Vitani looked at Kopa and then Zazu, knowing that the bird would follow them, and that they won't be able to lose the majordomo this time without getting into a lot of trouble. "Come on, Kopa, let's go then, " she said, motioning for her friend to follow her, "it'll be a bad idea to stop Zazu from following us," she whispered to Kopa, "so let's not do anything that will get him mad." Her last statement was rather useless, because Vitani already knew that Kopa wouldn't dare to do anything for now.

Frank was feeling quite sentimental by now. "Yeah, well there already is heartbreak," he replied coldly, "doesn't give me much reason to care now, does it?" He was seriously wondering by now why the monkey kept choosing him instead of someone else.

Rafiki immediately used his stick to hit Frank over the head. "A cub's life on the line here is much more important than you remaining a lion temporarily. Stop being so selfish."

Kopa meanwhile went to Vitani to the waterhole and asked her, "Hey Vitani can you swim?" Before she could say anything however Kopa tried to show off to her, "Well I can swim." He jumped to a rock, not landing in the water and then tried to jump to a rock even further out, "Hey Vitani watch this!" When he jumped however he landed on the rock but tripped and fell into the water. After several seconds Kopa did not emerge and considering he couldn't swim was likely to be drowning.
