Shomari collapsed under the weight of the hyenas. His blows became feebler and feebler, the numerous creatures were too overpowering.

Mwunga kicked and scratched and bit, but the hyenas were far stronger. Her head was still throbbing, and her back leg stung from the fight with Brista earlier.
Then she spotted it. "Shomari! Onto the rock!" She yowled weakly, fighting her way to her adopted son.
Shomari fell down, overcome by two nasty looking hyenas. Mwunga shoved them off and grabbed his neck, dragging him towards the rock. She pulled him up the stones, noticing Velka thrashing at hyenas. He was making it easier for her to get Shomari to safety.

Velka got bitten fiercly, and saw his friends getting hurt. In a fit of desperation, he shouted, "The lions are not regular lions! They wish to join hyenas because other lions find them not good enough! Unworthy! They want to join hyenas, they were looking for you!" He said, with astonishing sentence clarity.

Koori paused for a moment, "Hm, well I dunno, Drune, what do you think? They lyin'? They a lyin' lion? Ha ha ha ha!"

"Oh, good one!" Drune cackled. "Hee hee. Maybe the zebra say the truth."

Mwunga let go of Shomari's scruff. She glanced at Velka, sides heaving. "Yes...exactly." She gasped, holding Shomari from falling with a paw.

Koori was conflicted, "Should we give em a chance or will they turn around and betray us?"

Drune thought for a moment. "I dunno....let's give em a chance. I mean, we can easily kill em if they turn on us." He reasoned. Though slightly headstrong, he was smart.

[Misiziri]

Koori thought for a mere moment and agreed. If there happened to be a shortage of food, they eat the lions.

(Velka will be excluded for some time)

"... fine! Not a problem, nope! We letcha in. But remember lions, pull one wrong move and it's all over," he warned in a sinister tone.

[Zoketi]

[Ok.]

"Yeah, keep your head about'cha." Drune added, waggling his tail.

Mwunga stayed silent, her eyes peering down at the hyenas. She was still nervous, but if they found a way to escape later.... It was there only choice anyway. She carefully gripped Shomari and slid off the rock.

Koori joyously spoke up, "You gotta meet our lady! She's the leader of all us."

[Zoketi]

"Yeah, follow us!" Drune nodded at Koori and then looked behind them at the surrounded pack. He spotted their leader, Syena watching from upon a small rock. A few hyenas were gathered protectively around her.

Mwunga followed his gaze, her eyes locking with the hyena's. She stiffened and adjusted her grip on the weak Shomari.

Koori greeted the queen graciously, "We got new members of the pack! Is that okay?"
