Simba nuzzled Kiara and looked into her eyes. "Good morning, my princess. How did you sleep?" he asked.

Kiara sighed, "All my dreams were about living without a female friend, All the other cubs here are younger males, and with the genes from Papa 'Fasa. Vitani's cubs will probably be males too." Looking at her father with sad eyes.

Simba smiled. "You never know, Kiara. They could very well be females. Also, please call her 'Aunt Vitani'. It's rude not to, since she's your elder," he said.

Kovu leaped for his father, straight for the neck. He had to turn slightly to be able to get his teeth near it, but he seemed to be doing alright. Until Monstro blocked it, and sent him sprawling. This went on through the night, neither of them getting sleep. Kovu paused, slightly exhausted. "Uh, Dad, we didn't sleep. All night."

Kiara dipped her head, "Sorry dad, I'm just so used to you guys talking and just calling her Vitani. Honest mistake." She apologized to her father.

Simba nodded. "I know, sweetheart. I am not angry with you. Just remember this in the future," he said. He stood up. "I'm going to go check on Vitani," he said. After that, he headed for his sister's den. Upon entering, he looked at Vitani. "How are you feeling, 'Tani?" he asked.

Vitani noticed her brother, "I'm good, it just hurts to walk like the way I used to." She said, as Mheetu still rubbed her stomach. "I'll still get out and walk around though, my walking will just be slower than yours." She said, licking her paw.

Simba nodded. "Nala went through the exact same thing. If you need help, you can ask her," he said.

Nala turned to Kiara and pulled her in for a small motherly hug, "You know it would be good to wake Dyanna. I know you will miss her, but its obvious her path lies somewhere else." she said whispering softly nudging her with her muzzle. "I'm going to check on your father and Aunt, talk to her one last time." she instructed with a smile before heading up to check on Vitani. She walked towards the entrance of the den and smiled at Mheetu rubbing her belly, "Well...Hows the soon to be mom feeling?" she asked inspecting her out a bit.

Mheetu slowly stood to his paws and leaned down to nuzzle Vitani, "Do you need any help getting up?" he asked her softly. He looked a bit worried, he didn't want her to roll around on her belly.

Nala chuckled, "She will be alright Mheetu, lionesses have been walking around with cubs in their bellies for centuries." she teased with a smile.


Monstro's yellow eyes looked up at the rising sun and he nodded to Kovu, "Go get some rest boy, I will wake you up later." he ordered. He watched Kovu leave and Monstro sat back to his hinds and stared at the sunrise. He wasn't in the mood to sleep, he was going to start training Kovu hard, to fight like him. It was going to be a challenge of his own.

Simba chuckled. "It's perfectly natural to feel this way, Mheetu. I felt the same way when Kopa, Chaka and Kiara were about to be born," he said.
