Delano pretended to look disappointed at being called easy prey. "Well, I could make myself more difficult to catch..." he suggested, "but I would prefer not to be eaten for dinner." Lina nuzzled him, and he returned the gesture. "Yeah, I wanted us to wander around together," he said, "I like being on the move."

Umeme laughed. "Well, seeing as now you're their son-in-law, I think you should be with them just as much," she said, "after all, they already know me. It's you that I think they will want to learn about." She laughed a little at his insistence that he shouldn't be with them. "You're family now." She finally said simply.

Umeme heard steps coming out of the den, and saw her parents walking out of the den along with Kasi's parents. Kasi walked out afterwards and then quickly ran off, leaving Umeme and Muroki with the adults. Umeme leaned over slightly towards Muroki. "Well, here they are now," she whispered, "just act natural."

Lina smiled, continuing to nuzzle him, "I can see that." she said, giggling. "As for eating you, I just might not, I need some time to think about it." of course that she had no intention of eating him whatsoever, but it was amusing to talk as if she did. "Well then," she said after a few moments, getting back up, "Back to wandering around I guess." who knew, they might just come across a random hidden spot like when they found that waterhole.

Muroki chuckled, "Yeah, you're right." after all they came back to all of a sudden find out that their daughter had a mate now, surely they wanted to know him at least somewhat better. As if with perfect timing, his parents-in-law came out of the den just after he was done talking. Muroki forced the remaining small bits of worry out of his mind and smiled at them, giving them a short and slight respectful bow with his head as a sign of greeting. "Good morning." maybe this wouldn't be so bad.

Delano also got up to his feet and walked alongside Lina. "Well, you don't have to think of it as wandering around," he said, "that sounds too... boring." He smiled. "You can think of it as the two of us, together, alone, not having to worry about others..." He nodded his head, liking the sound of that. "Yeah, just the two of us together."

Moto heard Muroki greet them and turned to the newest member of the family. "And good morning to you too," he said, smiling, "how was your night?" He found it somewhat amusing to see that Muroki and Umeme were able to stay out in the cold for the entire night together. He would have expected them to get inside the den, and would have known if they did.

He moved towards the two and set himself down next to them along with Fadhili. "Looks like we have plenty of time to get to know each other," he said, "care to start?"

Lina chuckled, "Alright, the two of us wandering around together, alone without having to worry about anything else then." she thought about it for a moment, "You're right, that does sound much better." they kept walking through the savannah together, and Lina was certainly liking every second of it if not loving it. She still had no idea where they were going, but she didn't mind that at all.

Fadhili also went ahead and sat down next to her daughter and son-in-law after greeting them both. This seemed like a great opportunity to find out more about their daughter's mate, and they'll probably be able to find out whether he and Delano really were related or not, because it certainly looked like it. Muroki smiled, realizing that Umeme was right about them wanting to get to know him better. "Sure, let's get started." other than that he didn't know what else to say, since he didn't really expect to get that far.

As they walked, something strange swept over Delano, some sort of realization. "Hey, Lina, I know this might sound weird," he said, "but I just realized something." He looked at her, smiling. "it's the two of us, out here all by ourselves..." He paused, uncertain if he was describing exactly what he felt properly. "well, the thing I realized is, uh..."

He stopped suddenly and swept Lina into a tight hug. "I'm with you again," Delano said. "We're finally together, and properly this time." He slowly let Lina go and the two of them got back up onto their feet. "I feel great now," Delano explained, "and it's because of you."

Umeme chuckled, realizing that Muroki didn't know how to start. "Just start from the beginning," she whispered to him, "such as where you came from, how you got to know us. You know, all that usual introduction stuff." She also wanted him to be the one to tell her parents that he and Delano were brothers.

Lina stopped for a moment and looked at Delano, a little confused, "What did you realize?" before she could even realize what was going on Delano was already hugging her tightly, nearly causing her to squirm and struggle for air. It took her a few seconds to catch her breath after Delano let her go, but she smiled and gave him a loving nuzzle. "Well I'm glad I could help. Sort of..." she chuckled, "I'm also feeling great now that you're back here with me."

Muroki felt kind of stupid for a moment. "Uh, alright..." he paused again for a few more seconds, thinking on how to start. "Well, up to about two months ago my brother Delano and I were living alone with our parents. Our mother was Laini's sister so she and Dakari used to come and visit every once in a while... Then one day we found our parents dead because of the underworld, so we came here... It was a little weird for us to live in a pride, even though Kasi's parents were there." he looked at Umeme for a moment with a smile. "We met Kasi and through him we also met Umeme and Lina."

Delano blushed. "Well, I err... I..." He fell silent in order not to continue babbling incoherently. "Lina, I..." He leaned forward, bringing his muzzle to hers, and kissed her deeply. This time though, he didn't pull away ashamed. Delano still felt foolish, and even afraid, but not enough to stop himself. He finally pulled away slowly, grinning foolishly.

Moto's eyes widened. "You and Delano are brothers?" He asked, surprised. Even though he saw that Delano and Muroki looked similar enough, it had escaped him that they might be brothers.

Umeme nuzzled Muroki. "He's more than that, dad," she said, smiling. "Go on, tell them more," she whispered to Muroki, "they will want to know more."

Lina stopped and again looked at Delano with confusion as she waited for him to get his bearing and say what he was trying to say. Whatever Delano was trying to say never came through, and again Lina found herself completely frozen and unable to move, only to relax after a few seconds and return the gesture by leaning closer to Delano. It was hard for her to say anything after he pulled away, all she could do was smile at him with just the same amount of embarrassment. "You're not going to run off again are you?"

Muroki nodded at Moto, "Yes, we are brothers, sorry... It would have probably been more proper to say it the moment you met him." he listened to what Umeme said and continued, "Delano's also the best friend I've ever had... Up to two months ago it was only us and our parents, so he was my only friend." he knew that there would never be any replacement for Delano. "When we got here we were like lost cubs, it took some time to get settled in here... I could barely speak a proper phrase to Umeme without looking like a complete idiot..."

Delano looked at Lina. "I... I won't" he finally answered, although in truth he did want to run off again. "I mean, if you want me to, I can... but not... not on my own." He once again realized that he was babbling, so he fell silent, and instead watched Lina, waiting for her response.

Umeme laughed when Muroki described his early days. "Yeah, I remember that," she said, clearly amused, "it was funny trying to listen to you." She then quieted down, letting Muroki continue with his tale, and ignoring the look he gave her that said that he did not find it funny.

Lina would normally find comments like that funny or at least somewhat amusing, but with the way Delano was babbling and looking just as nervous as he did yesterday before he took off, she didn't seem amused at all. "No I don't want you to run off again." she said, just in case Delano didn't already have that clear in his mind.

Muroki gave Umeme a frown at what she said, especially when he heard her mother chuckle. "Anyway... After a few days we decided to go train under the police so that we could work undercover..." he could see by his parents-in-laws expressions that they did not see that coming. "We were there for a week or two and we had some time to think things over. We realized that looking for those who killed our parents would be next impossible, and after the first phase of the training we came back here... I managed to ask Umeme out after we came back..." he stopped, his cheeks a little red.
