[Closed] Trials in the Pridelands

Shujaa was very, very old now. He would die any day now. Little did he know that the great kings and queens had decided that it was time. He walked very slowly, as he was in a lot of pain. "Everyone..." he said weakly. Just then, he collapsed to the ground with a loud crash. "Everyone, I am dying," he announced. He looked at Nala and Mheetu. "Come to me, my cubs," he said.

Nala ran over and nudged her father's with her muzzle softly, "Dad...we are all here." she whispered softly. Her blue eyes looked at Mheetu and she frowned.

Mheetu ran to his father's side opposite of Nala and he looked down at his dad, "Take it easy dad..." he said.

Dyanna cried a bit and then looked away as Shujaa fell, she ran to the front of him. She gave him a nuzzle of her own, "I'll never forget you or Fina.." she whispered with blurry eyes.

Shujaa smiled at his daughter and son. "You two have been the best children. Take care of your families and everyone close to you. Until we meet again, I shall be at peace among the great kings and queens of the past," he said. He then looked at Dyanna. "Dyanna, be happy and be safe," he said. With that, Shujaa took his final breath and died. Simba looked at Nala and nuzzled her, as he saw the tears in her eyes. "Your father was a good lion," he said.

"Okay. Got it. Can I hunt now?"
"Oh, Kovu," his mother sighed, "Listen to your father."

Simba turned his attention to Kopa, Chaka and Kiara. "He has been reunited with Grandma in the realm of the great kings and queens. Forever will they be happy now," he said.

Vitani started to cry, and sat beside Mheetu. His mother just died a few weeks ago, and now his father. "Mheetu, I'm here for you." Whispering into his ear, putting her hand on his back. "Like Simba said, he's forever happy." Remembering what her brother said, she placed her head on his shoulder.

Kiara started to cry, glad she spent time with him. "Good bye Papa 'Jaa!" Saying as she nuzzled her head into his soft mane.

Simba nodded. "Well, everyone, once the mourning period is over with, we will begin some very important things. First and foremost, we will begin interviewing potential mates for Kopa, Chaka and Kiara," he said. He looked at his cubs. "Don't worry, you will all have the final say in who you marry," he declared.

Nala sniffled back tears as Simba addressed the Pride and she gave a soft nod, for now the Queen stepped away from them. She quietly leapt down the rocky ledges and her blue eyes narrowed as the sun was slowly lowering in the sky. So many things were happening and now they had to find mates for their cubs, she reclined back to her hinds and her eyes wandered aimlessly around.


Mheetu gave Vitani a hug and he nuzzled her furry neck with his muzzle, "I'll be okay. Now my mom and dad can be happy together..." he muttered. He rubbed Vitani's belly with his paw and smiled, "It's the circle of life and it leads us all.." he added with a smile.

Dyanna sat next to Kiara and hugged her best friend, "He doesn't feel pain anymore..I shall leave in the morning." she added softly watching the sun with her blue eyes. It would've been nice to stay in the Pride lands but her dreams were tugging her back home, she had to go where her path was taking her.

Monstro let a low growl rumble through his chest and he looked down at Kovu, "Patience, you will do as you're told. You said you wanted to be taught how to fight now here I am." he snapped irritably. He tossed his large brown paw at Kovu's face and knocked him to the ground. He didn't use all his might just enough to knock some sense into the bickering son. "NOW..are you ready to continue?" he asked stepping around Kovu with another growl.

Simba followed Nala until he found her. "Hey beautiful. What's going on?" he asked, showing a touch of the adolescent that he once was.

Nala's ears perked forward as Simba joined her side and she smiled slightly at his comment, "Everything is changing so fast, do you think this is what our parents went through? My cubs are almost adults and now we have to find them mates!" she frowned. She nuzzled into Simba's mane, "Why can't we go back to when the cubs were born, everything seemed so perfect."
