The new danger in the land

Tua: Well, this is it! Marini...you feeling okay today?

Marini and the others were outside while Nala waited in the den with Kiara for Rafiki to arrive. "I'm fine." she said, sounding concerned about her friend. Kiara had become pergnant quite some time before her.

[Adofo]

( so what is...."pergnant"? lol )

A few hours later a very tiny cub was next to kiara. But something was obviously very wrong.
Tua: Rafiki....is....is it okay?

(It's a phone typo I was too lazy to look for)

Rafiki looked at everyone and sighed. "De princess is okay," he said, glancing at Kiara's sleeping form for a moment, "but de cub is very weak." The mandrill sighed again. "There is a chance dat she will not live..."

(Ugh....lazy. lol)

Tua: Oh no......what's wrong?

(I was thinking of some kind of minor infection that's spreading around. Like to a normal lion, that'd just get a little sick. If anything. But an unborn lion has a high risk of something going wrong. And then that's when Tua and Marini start to worry.)

(There's no need to go into complications. Sometimes, in the wild, newborns just don't live for more than a few hours after birth)

Rafiki continued. "Sometimes newly born cubs are just not healthy enough." He sighed and began to leave. "There isn't much I can do to increase the cub's chances. You'll have to wait it out. I'm sorry..."

(Alright. no big deal. BUt do you think that Marini should worry since it happened to Kiara it can happen to her?)

Tua went over to his newly born great niece and very gently petted the top of her head.
Tua: Fight little one...fight as hard as you can!

(Tua's tendency to overreact makes him a better target for this)

When Kiara finally woke up a while later, she was more than simply upset when Kovu explained the situation to her. She gently bathed her newboen daughter without stopping, taking comfort whenever she felt the cub stir a little or heard her mewl faintly.

Tua: Kiara.....I am soooo sorry! If there is anything ANYTHING in the whole world I can do, I'll do it! Even if Rafiki performs some kind of life force exchange between me and her, I'll do it in a second!

Kiara forced a weak smile at her uncle. "I-it's fine... This is not your fault..." She sighed, placing her head down in front of her cub and simply staring at her. Next to her, Kovu also sighed.
