[Closed] Trials in the Pridelands

Kovu rushed to his parents. "Mom! Dad!" They woke, and Zira's face was the picture of worry.
"Kovu, what's wrong?"
He sighed. "Well, I tried. But they were suspicious, and I couldn't get any information out of them. Simba came, of course. Why does he always have to ruin everything? I just... don't know what to do."
Zira looked down at her son and nuzzled him. "It's okay. We'll figure something out. Now head to bed." Kovu did as he was told, and Zira turned to Monstro. "What are we going to do?"

Nala's blue eyes narrowed at her daughters attitude, "Kiara. Dont talk to your father like that.." she said in a annoyed tone. The Queen's eyes fell on Dyanna who was standing further away from the group. "Kiara, you know its forbidden to leave the den when your father and I are asleep, you could've been killed!" she snapped angrily.

Mheetu ran up and looked to Dyanna, he motioned for her to follow him. "Lets get you home Dyanna.." he said softly nodding to Simba and Nala. As he walked beside Dyanna he gazed down at her, "Something troubling you Dyanna?" he asked curiously.

Dyanna looked up at Mheetu and shook her muzzle a frown plastered across it, "Well no..just tired I suppose." she muttered sheepishly.

Monstro looked to Zira and sighed, "I'm not sure yet. We need more time though, Kovu isn't a full grown yet." he said in a low tone. Monstro's mustard eyes narrowed thinly at the sight of Pride rock in the distance, "I think Kovu has a good thing going with the Princess...perhaps..we could play it off better..." he said softly rubbing his paws together.

"Alright." She sighed and lay down, suddenly realizing her stomach was larger than normal. She had felt the extra weight, and had sort of known that a baby would be coming, but she never really realized it. And here it was. So there she slept, with a smile on her face.

Kovu crept to Folle's side. "Hey. Thanks. I guess it would have been lonely and kind of boring. Maybe we can do it again. Okay?"

Kiara sat in-front of Simba and nuzzled his mane leaving tear drops. "Daddy, I'm sorry for leaving the den at night and talking to you like that. I should have known better. I'll take responsibility for Dyanna's trouble. I don't want her in trouble too." Sitting up straight and whipping her tears away, she nodded her head at both parents. "Sorry, again." She added nuzzling Nala, turning and heading back to Priderock. "Can I go to sleep yet?" She asked, yawning.

Folle smiled. "Of course! We'll catch a few things while we're at it too!" She laughed, her eyes becoming heavy. "I'm going to sleep now, if you wanna stay. That's cool too." Folle put her head in her paws, closing her eyes.

Simba sighed. "Yes, Kiara. Let's go home. We'll discuss all of this in the morning," he said. He then started to head back to Pride Rock, happy that his daughter was safe.

"Oh. Okay," The two young lions were curled up against each other, fast asleep.

Finally, the family arrived back at Pride Rock. Simba laid down once more. "Good night, everyone. Remember, in the morning, we discuss Kiara's behavior," he stated.

The sun peaked over the Pridelands, and, eventually, the Outlands. Zira awoke to pain. "Ah! Monstro! Help!"

[Songo]

Monstro's furry ears perked forward at Zira's call and he awoke, "Are you okay? Whats happening?" he asked. He stood to his paws and stepped around his mate, he nuzzled her neck. "Is it time?" he said with his eyes wide.

Nala's blue eyes opened groggily, she could barely sleep. Lifting herself to her paws she quietly stepped out into the morning sunlight, she watched the Pride lands wake up. She could feel the breeze across her pelt and she lifted her face to welcome the cool feeling.

Mheetu nuzzled Vitani's neck gently, "Morning.." he whispered to his mate. His pink rough tongue passed her cheek and his mossy green eyes stared at her.

Zira nodded, teeth clenched from the pain. "Get a lioness to HELP!" Her roars echoed through the cave.

Kovu woke to the sound of screaming and roaring. He rushed to his feet and ran to his parents' den. "What's wrong?"
