[Private] Kiarasmate and Kivuli

[Baya]

Ayari rolled his eyes. He wasn't a lost puppy! He wasn't planning on following her in the first place. He walked over to Siri and nudged her slightly. Siri groaned as she pushed Ayari's paw away.

"One more minute daddy. I swear I'll wake up." Siri groaned in her sleep. Ayari grinned as he poked her gently in the side with his paw toe. Siri yelped as she awoke, not liking the sensation she got from the poke in the side. "Ugh! Ayari you jerk! I was having a good dream!" Siri mumbled bitterly.

"You can dream about Kivuli later. We got to wake up, and get ready for a meeting. We need to figure out what to do when Maju get's here." Ayari stated. Siri snorted.

"Ok, and for the record I wasn't dreaming of Kivuli. I dreamed that I had cubs...both of them so adorable. One a boy, the other a girl." Siri said as she began to ramble on and on about how cute they were, and how polite.

"Haha. So you are dreaming about having cubs with Kivuli?" Ayari asked with a raised eyebrow. Siri began to literally steam as she growled at her leader.

"Keep it up with this little Kivuli thing, and I'll make it so that you can't have cubs with Vitani, or ANY lioness for that matter." Siri said as she ejected her index claw. Ayari shuddered at the thought of that pain as he walked over to Zina.

"Hey Zina. Wake up." Ayari said as he shook her gently. Ayari wanted to change Zina's views on males from today on, because she was never going to be happy if she held such a big grudge against such a big majority of lions.

It didn’t take Vitani very long to go about her business. Knowing that there were important matters to attend to, the former Outlander hurried back to Pride Rock, a pleasant smile upon her muzzle as she arrived back, just in time to hear Siri making a comment about Ayari wanting to have cubs with her. Freezing in mid stride before her presence could be detected, Vitani’s heart skipped a beat as she felt herself at a loss for words. This fact just seemed to prove the point that Kovu had mentioned previously. Maybe Ayari was moving too quickly, or perhaps she was giving off way too many mixed signals. Whatever the case may be, Vitani knew that she had to change her ways before Ayari got the wrong impression about her. Gathering herself, Vitani made her way up Pride Rock, taking a seat near Siri as she watched Ayari trying to rouse Zina.

Feeling Ayari’s light shakes, Zina opened one eye as she stared up at him with a very lethargic look. Hearing his voice, yet not wanting to budge, the white furred lioness placed a fore paw against Ayari’s chest, giving him a firm push as she rolled onto her other side, grumbling in a bothered tone.

”Go away Ayari. My herbs are ruined. I hold no value to you anymore, so just leave me be.”

Curling herself into a large white fur ball, Zina tried to return back to sleep as her eye closed once again.

"Zina. Come on. Those herbs were just plants. They can be found again can they not? We didn't keep you with us only because you are a shaman you know." Ayari assured as he continued to nudge Zina awake.

"I'd rather have you as a friend then a shaman actually. I hate it when you just run off looking for herbs." Siri added. Ayari noticed Vitani had gotten back and greeted her with a smile.

"F-Fire in the pride lands!" Zazu exclaimed from the sky. "Fire!"

"It has begun..." Ayari murmured. Kivuli had quickly made his way back to Ayari.

"Ayari...The fire is over the horizon. I see the smoke. We should go take them out before they spread it." Kivuli explained. Ayari nodded.

"Siri, Kivuli come with me. Vitani you stay here. These are some psychotic beings you weren't meant to see." Ayari said sternly. He also needed several of the pride landers to come along. Ayari quickly trotted to the den, roaring. "There's fire in your lands! I need 3 more lions or lionesses to come out here and aid me in stopping the spread of the fire!" Ayari shouted into the den. Kovu was the first one out, along with two other former outlanders.

"Let's go..." Kovu said with a nod. Ayari turned and began to sprint his way down pride rock with Siri and Kivuli.

Zina didn’t make any effort to move from Ayari’s words however, upon hearing the dire situation that was being reported by some flying bird, Zina reluctantly rose to her paws and gave a quick stretch of her body before she bounded after Siri, Kivuli, Ayari, Kovu and the other Pridelanders. Even though she didn’t really care about the lands themselves, knowing that there would be action and never being the type to leave Siri to having all the fun, Zina figured that some good use would at least come of her being present.

Vitani stood somewhat dumbfounded. She wasn’t sure why Ayari didn’t want her to come along. These were her lands more than his and if anyone should go to defend them, it should be her. Assuming that Ayari just wanted to protect her, which was flattering to say the least for the former Outlander, Vitani’s stubborn side showed as she quickly shouted after Ayari and made her way after the group.

”You don’t seem to ever remember what I keep telling you Ayari. WE STAND AS ONE! There’s no way I’m just going to sit idly by if you and my brother are out fighting for these lands. This is my home too and I’ll defend it to the death if I have to.”

Looking towards Kovu for a bit of support, Vitani didn’t stay put as she reached Ayari and stood proudly by his side, waiting for the orders to be issued.

Ayari looked back to Vitani with a frown. Why wouldn't she just sit back, and let him handle it? It was his fault this was happening, and he didn't want her to get hurt all because of his stupid mistake. There wasn't enough time to argue though, so he just kept on running. They all made their way through a grassy plain towards the black smoke in the distance. "What's the plan Ayari?" Kovu asked as he ran and panted.

"All we have to do is stick with a partner, and watch each other's backs while we stop the sources of the fire. Don't turn your back on your enemy! Not even for a second! They'll tear you to shreds without any remorse!" Ayari said sternly.

"You totally remind me of my mother." Kovu said, trying to ease the mood.

"Though she was not right in the mind, she definitely knew how to fight! Don't leave any of them conscious! Don't fall for their tricks! Don't make small talk with them. Got that Zina? Kivuli?" Ayari said turning his head to the other two of his pride as he ran. Ayari frowned as he continued to run. He wondered if he was getting too bossy now, and what Vitani thought of him when he was like this.

"Hey Ayari. Will their leader be with them?" Kovu asked curiously. Ayari shook his head as he noticed the air get thinner, and hotter. They were getting close to the fire.

"No. This isn't the desperate act of take over. He's striking fear into our hearts..." Ayari snarled.

"They've already tried this with us...That bastard Guza and his ring of fire almost killed me." Kivuli commented.

Both Zina and Vitani nodded in unison from Ayari’s plan. Zina was the first of the two to speak up as she glanced over at Siri with a mischievous smile.

”You and me Siri.”

As much as Vitani wanted to blurt out her choice of partners, she had to think for a moment. While her obvious choice was Ayari, something lead her to state otherwise as she exclaimed.

”Kovu, you and me Bro!”

Knowing that Ayari and Kivuli probably knew the enemy better than anyone else, Vitani figured that them being together would prove to be the most beneficial for their side. Perhaps her feelings towards Ayari also lead her to pick her brother as her partner but there was no time to think about such matters as the inevitable battle would soon be upon them.

Having no herbs to fall back upon, Zina’s only motivation to fight was to protect her own life, as well as Siri’s and if she could injure a few males in the process, it all seemed worth it to her. Ejecting her claws and taking on a much different appearance than she typically sported, it was obvious that the white furred lioness was out for blood, as well as vengeance towards the enemy to whom she associated with everyone from her past who betrayed her trust and hurt her, both physically and emotionally.

Vitani was quite the opposite as she remained calm and collected, staying by her brother’s side as her eyes stayed focus upon the blazing inferno of a battleground that stretched on ahead of them.

Both lionesses waited for the signal from Ayari, the tension growing more palpable with each passing second.

"They are hiding behind these flames. Don't give them an edge." Ayari said quietly as he watched the fires dance on the grass and trees. He coughed as his eyes and Kivuli walked up behind him. He looked around the dancing flames as, sure enough, lionesses began to come through. In their mouths were small torches they were using to set the grass a blaze. Ayari roared as he began to attack the lionesses.

Meanwhile in another ring of fire, Siri was fighting off several lionesses at once, managing to knock them out with paw punts. "They...They never stop coming." Siri said gasping for air. They wouldn't last too long in these conditions. The air was thinning even more with the dark smoke.


Kovu wasn't having the best time fighting either. He received several blows to the face but managed to over power the other lions with his superior strength. He panted as he looked around shakily, sweat dripping from his face. He frowned as he looked to Vitani. "W-We can't keep this up Vitani! We have to hurry!" Kovu coughed.


From behind Zina a lioness grinned sinisterly as she jumped towards the white furred lioness. Siri was too busy fighting off three lionesses at once to really do anything. "Zina!" Siri called, but it was too late to warn her. That lioness never made it to Zina. Standing with a few singed mane hairs in front of Zina now, panting heavily was Shwari. Following after him was his brother. The lioness that leaped at Zina was now unconscious on the ground. Husudu looked extremely annoyed with Shwari.

"That was not our mission fool..." Husudu pointed out as he spat out the torch from his mouth. Shwari roared at Husudu.

"We will NOT destroy the lives of innocent lions! That Maju is a theif and a liar. We've talked about this too long. I don't care if you come with me or not!" Shwari growled to Husudu. Husudu rolled his eyes but nodded.

"Nothing I can do then." Husudu growled as he began to help Siri with her own little lioness perdicament.

Faster than Vitani could even think, the battle was underway. It seemed like every direction she faced, a new pair of eyes jeered at her through the smoke and flames that surrounded the feuding factions. Throwing her own feelings aside, Vitani’s former demeanor took over as her claws swiftly ejected and her teeth gleamed in the blistering hot light from the flames around her. It was as if her mother’s old spirit had taken over her body as the former Outlander switched to attack mode, lunging viciously towards one of the rival lionesses that had gotten a bit too close to her brother’s back for comfort. Letting out a mighty roar, Vitani cleanly and effortlessly dispatched of the opposing lioness, dropping her to the ground with a sickening thud as fresh blood stained her paws and claws. Having no time to spend to think about her actions, Vitani was tackled by two lionesses, disappearing under the weight of them both as flames danced precariously around them.

Zina on the other paw, was thoroughly enjoying herself, attacking almost everything that moved. Losing sight of Siri, due to the thick layer of smoke that swirled about the battlefield, Zina’s exceptional eye sight truly came into play as she focused her efforts on a small group of lions who were insistent on taking Kovu’s life. Not caring that she couldn’t match strength with the larger males, Zina bit and clawed sadistically at the enemies she encountered, her usually flawless white fur now being given a crimson red coating from her victims spilt life fluids. Getting a bit too caught up into her own little world of violence and destruction, Zina barely noticed the lioness that had her in her sights. It wasn’t until she spotted the very same grey furred lion that she had encountered the previous night, did she react, snarling her teeth menacingly towards him as she shouted over the chaotic noise around her.

”What the hell do you think you’re doing?”

Vitani had managed to free herself from underneath the two lionesses that had her pinned down, thanks to a swift du claw shot to one of their jugulars, causing her to emerge quite the gory looking scene as she hurriedly brought down the other lioness with a precise kick of her strong and powerful hind legs, cracking the poor feline’s rib cage in a single shot. Rising to her paws, Vitani’s paw raised to deliver the finishing blow, when her eyes met with Ayari’s across the Smokey terrain, causing her to stop as she let the lioness be, turning her attention to helping her brother once again.

"I'm saving your sorry butt." Shwari replied in monotone to Zina as he started to fight off his new enemies. The smoke was getting too strong, and the number of lionesses making their way through the flames had decreased. They were heading towards their victory.


Regardless of the drop in the number of enemies, Siri was now getting dizzy from the fumes of the fire. Her eyes were dazed looking, as she staggered. Kivuli looked over to Siri for a brief moment, before leaving Ayari's side to quickly help her stay up. Siri looked to Kivuli with half opened eyes, and decided that it was the perfect opportunity to pass out. Kivuli grunted as he grabbed Siri by the scruff of the neck and managed to get her onto his back with a bit of effort. "So damn heavy..." Kivuli growled." Ayari! I'm taking Siri away from the battle field!" Kivuli shouted to Ayari. Ayari nodded to Kivuli, giving his friend the clearance to go.

"Very well done Ayari! It seems that you have bested me yet again!" Kiburi snarled as she jumped through the flames with three, very strong looking males. Their eyes were narrowed and had dark circles around them due to their malnutrition and lack of sleep. "Kill him..." Kiburi ordered darkly as she turned and walked back out of the inferno. Ayari stepped back as the three males licked their muzzles in anticipation. They did not speak, nor did they really have any sinister smiles on their faces. They just looked boldly at Ayari, and lunged towards him. Shwari and Husudu were already by Ayari's side by the time the three males chose to attack.

"I see you two have decided to follow your own hearts?" Ayari asked as he pushed back one of the males with a grunt. Husudu snorted.

"Whatever puts food into my belly. Shwari's the sentimental one. No idea why the hell he saved that bitter lioness." Husudu growled.

"I would've saved anyone in that situation. She means as much to me as the enemy." Shwari pointed out as he slashed at the male he was fighting.

"You would save your enemy?" Ayari asked with a perplexed look.

"I could choose to. Maju got on my nerves with his barbaric ways. It was war that killed my pride, and unless I prevent that greedy monster from starting another one, the same will become of this pride." Shwari explained.

Ayari roared as the male he was fighting bit onto his shoulder. His eyes narrowed as he stuck his claws into the male's throat, and slashed down wards. Kovu panted as the lionesses stopped coming at him and he witnessed Ayari kill that male. His mouth was agape in horror as he watched Ayari's action. Ayari stared in terror at what he had done in pure anger and instinct.

"Good job. He won't be coming back from that!" Husudu said with a dark chuckle as he finally over powered the other male and knocked him out. The remaining male realized his situation, and ran off through the flames. Ayari looked to his blood stained paws and his heart went at an abnormal rate.

"N-No..." Ayari muttered to himself. He kept on repeating that, until it was as rhythmic as his heart beats. Ayari looked at the fatal wound he had inflicted on the male, and rain began to fall from the heavens putting out the flames.

Refusing to believe what her own eyes had witnessed, Zina shouted back towards the grey furred male before she moved off to take her remaining aggression out upon one of the last males that tried to retreat from the fight.

”MY ASS, YOU WERE!”

Looking quite the worse for wear, her fur and paws stained and singed from the enemies blood and searing heat around her, Vitani managed a smile at her brother as victory had been awarded to them by the looks of the retreating faction. Trying to lift the mood, if only slightly, Vitani walked over to where Kovu was, panting heavily as she placed a paw upon her brother’s shoulder as she addressed him in a pleasant voice.

”Nice job Bro. Mother would be proud.”

Seeing that the fight was over now too, Zina scowled as she shouted after the retreating forces.

”You call that a fight! We barely even broke a sweat! Filthy vermin!”

Staring back at Ayari, Zina snickered lightheartedly as her unsavory looking fur blew carelessly in the wind that had picked up, followed by a loud crack of thunder, signifying Mother Nature’s decision to end what had happened as cool droplets of rain started to cascade down upon the victorious group.

Flashing Schwari a cold, yet perplexed stare, Zina bounded off without another word, hot on Kivuli’s trail to make sure that Siri was okay, leaving Vitani, Kovu and the rest to deal with the two grey furred males.

Happy in the fact that they had won, at least, for now anyways, Vitani made her way by Ayari’s side, giving him a friendly nuzzle to let him know that she was glad that he was unscathed for the most part, before she stated in a polite tone.

”So, you going to introduce us to your friends here or what Ayari?”
