Haramu released his pant leg, hissing. He padded after Adofo, walking between him and his "cousin". When they entered, he blinked at the floor. It felt weird beneath his paws. He slipped slightly on the tile, but still followed after them, looking uneasily at more of Adofo's kind.

[Adofo]

Nick: Come on, my office is on the top floor!
The head to the elevator. On the way, people back against the walls and shut their doors when the see the pridelanders.
Nick: Uhhh hehe don't mind them they've just never really uhhhh....been used to being around lions before.
They all pile into the huge elevator and head up to the top floor. When they open back up they head down a hallway into a giant office.
Nick: Go on! Sit down! All of you please!
Some of them sat in chair and some sat on the two couches. Adofo saved an empty spot for his son to sit next to him.
Nick: So Charlie, what happened to you!?!? Oh wait where are my manners?! Why do you introduce me to your.....pride.
Adofo: Well this is my little brother Simba, his wife Nala, their son Kopa, their daughter Kiara, his wife Vitani, her husband Kovu, my aunts Dombi, Dambi and Mchezo, our friends Timon, Pumbaa and Zazu. And this is my pride and joy, my son Haramu! *kiss*
Nick: Well it's very nice to meet you all!

Haramu pulled away slightly, embarrassed.
"Dad.." He looked at his "cousin", nose wrinkling. He smelled funny. It didn't smell like an outside smell. And he looked funny, too. He looked at Adofo and scooted closer to him in the seat and looked back at Adofo's cousin. Why did he keep calling him Charlie? His name was Adofo. He didn't like him. He wanted to go home.

[Adofo]

Adofo: Hehehe I'm just messing with you son! You know I love you! *kiss kiss kiss* But I never said anything about not embarrassing you!
Nick: Hahaha! He's cute! So you uhhh....
Adofo: Oh uh I adopted him! Yeah, his parents were forced to give him up and he was going to be killed. But I saved him. Brought him back home but I couldn't let him leave, if he did, he would have been killed in no time. So....he became my son! And I've loved him every day as if he's my own flesh and blood!
He pulled Hamaru in close and made him rest his head on his shoulder.*
Adofo: And can I ask? Why do you keep calling me Charlie?
Nick: Charlie Jameson, that's your name! Last time I saw you you were only about three months old. What do you go by now?
Adofo: I go by Adofo now. Oh yeah and by the way, my brother is the king of what we call The Pridelands! And I'm the vice king!
Nick: Wow!

Haramu shook his head free of Adolfo's kisses and wiped his paws over his face. He glared at Nick. He didn't like him. He stiffened when Adofo told Nick all about him and he looked away. He didn't want that brought up again... He looked over at the other members of the pride, then down at his paws again.
"Why are we here?" he muttered to Adofo. "I don't like it here. It's... weird."

[Adofo]

Adofo: Hey Nick, can you excuse us?
Adofo takes his son outside to talk.
Adofo: Haramu, what's wrong?! You've been in a sour mood this whole time! Now what is it?!

Haramu cowered slightly, looking away. His ears flattened against his skull.
"This place is different. The look, smell... I don't trust it. And who is this guy who keeps calling you his cousin Charlie? How can you trust him? He looks nothing like you!"

[Adofo]

Adofo: Haramu......are you scared something bad will happen to me?

Haramu seemed flustered at first, but nodded slowly.
"You're my dad. You're all I've got. The pride feels fake. And they can't understand how I feel because they have each other. ...I only have you. What about how they greeted us? I scented danger. They could have killed you!"

[Adofo]

Adofo: Haramu! .....come here!
He puts his arms around him and holds him tight.
Adofo: Haramu, I promise, I PROMISE! I will never leave you all alone! I love you with all my heart! And I would never do anything to put my life at risk so you'd be left alone. And this pride IS your family! They all love you! Very much! If you died, they'd all be crushed! Please son, lighten up....for me! Everything will be okay! I promise! Give it a chance!
