Nyembe walked out, a sour expression on his face. "Where's the kid?! Er, where is Zuwa? I'd like to apologize for being so angry."
Himili nodded. "Of course. And he'll apologize as well. Zuwa!"
Zuwa walked out of the den and looked up at the prince. "Oh. It's you." his mother nudged him. "Oh. I'm sorry for saying those things. I know I shouldn't have."
Nyembe nodded, the sour look brightening slightly. "I apologize for getting so angry. I really could have hurt you, and I just overreacted." Zuwa nodded and went back inside to sontinue his punishment.

Marrone laid to the ground and sighed softly, "I will think of something my Queen." he said softly. Watching Nyembe step into the den he nodded, "Good Nyembe. Now get some sleep, you have a big day tomorrow." he ordered. Resting next to Alma, he fell asleep the last thing on his mind was how to make his son humble.

"Good night Nyembe." Alma said before resting her head on Marrone and falling asleep

Delano was startled when he felt Tempesta's head on his shoulder. He smiled when he realized what it was on him, and he lay down, closing his eyes. He enjoyed just laying there, feeling the cool breeze blow through his mane, and the gentle swaying of Tempesta's breathing.

In almost no time, Delano was already fast asleep on the rocky outcrop overlooking the lake.

Alma woke up in the middle of the night from a bad dream and looked around and saw Marrone and Nyembe sleeping, so she stood up quietly and tipped toed out of the den. She walked towards the waterfall to get a drink. After getting a drink she decided to go on a walk. Alma traveled towards her favorite tree and started going into the jungle. "Wow," Alma said in awe of the beautiful night forest, "This jungle is amazing at night I wonder why I have never done this before." The queen forgot that she had to be careful where she walked around here and got lost in the jungle, "Darn, that must be why I didn't do that." Alma said to herself before sitting under a tree. Alma yawned and lied her head on her paws then closed her eyes. She felt a slight breeze coming from the north and smiled slightly at the peacefulness then drifted off to sleep.

As the sun began to rise the winds grew stronger this day, warning the Pride. The rainy season wasn't far off and the strong scent of rain filled the air.

Marrone awoke early this morning, the sun slowly creeping over the horizon. He noticed Alma missing and he wondered if she went for a walk, he reclined back for a moment. Taking a good look around he realized his Pride barely made it to their dens, he took note of Mheetu under a tree by himself. Stretching out his old limbs he made his way to Mheetu, nudgeing him with his paw. "Wake up Mheetu." he ordered nudgeing him once more.

Mheetu felt his body being shook and he barely opened his eyes, when he noticed the King he hopped up. "Is Vitani ok?" he wondered panicking.

"Relax, shes fine. Today Delano and Tempesta will be showing you their duties, its good to have a extra male around. Delano will also be giving you some lessons, in defense." he spoke looking down at the young male.

"Yes, King." he answered back groggily. Mheetu's mossy green eyes looked to the slumbering Vitani. He smiled and rested his head back on his paws, taking a few more winks of sleep before Delano came to retrieve him.

Marrone padded to the lake and quietly lapped up a few gulps of fresh water before making his patrol. He went into the deep jungle, he knew it very well. He padded through the forest and noticed Alma under a tree, "Alma, are you ok?" he asked nudgeing her with his muzzle. His grey eyes looked wearily upon his mate, hoping she was alright.

Tempesta felt the wind pass by her cheeks and she stirred by Delano's side. Her turqouise eyes opened slowly and she smiled at Delano, he never left her side. She quietly made her way down the hill to the Pride's area and looked around, everyone was still asleep. She stretched her paws forward and her claws sliced into the damp ground like knives. Lifting her muzzle in the air she scented rain, the seasons were changing yet again. Padding towards Dyanna she grabbed her scruff and carried her under a tree, she set her down gently. "Dyanna, I have to patrol soon. Stay around, ok?" she instructed to her little sister.

Dyanna rubbed her eyes with her paws and looked up at Tempy, she nodded curling up in the cool grass.

Delano was awoken by a soft breeze. Blinking, he looked around, only to jump up in fright. Where was Tempesta? When he had fallen asleep, he was sure that Tempesta was still resting on him. Or was she? Either way, Delano figured that he will be able to find her back at the main pride area. Sleepily, he made his way down from the rock back down to the dens.

When Delano reached the dens, he spotted a few pride members lying about, including Mheetu and Vitani. Delano grinned a little when he saw how close Mheetu was sleeping next to Vitani. No doubt protecting her. Walking by them, Delano made his way to Tempesta's den. Walking to the entrance cautiously, he called out, "Hello? Tempesta? Are you there?" Delano didn't get a reply, so he ventured inside slowly, only to be met by the empty walls of the den. It was empty.

Walking back outside, Delano wondered where Tempesta could possibly be. He was starting to get nervous. Looking around, Delano finally spotted Tempesta sitting next to Dyanna under a tree. With a relieved yawn, Delano padded over to them. "Hey, Tempesta," he said. "Sleep well?"

Alma awoke seeing Marrone, "Oh hi. I couldn't sleep so I went for a walk then took a nap when I got tired." Alma stood up and yawned and stretched. Alma nuzzled Marrone

Addana wearily padded out of the den, and paused by the entrance to shake any bits of rock or grass that was in her fur out. She lifted her head to the morning sun and inhaled a deep breath of fresh, clean air. Her bright green eyes surveyed the clearing, and finally came to rest upon the slumbering form of Mheetu. A surge of guilt welled up inside her. She had not meant to snap, but he had accidentally stumbled across her core and struck it with all his might by implying that she was not taught the same things as her brother. She made her way towards him to apologize, but Marrone had gotten there first while she was thinking. She stayed back as to not disturb her father, and only approached when he had continued elsewhere. "Mheetu," she called quietly, trying to wake him up without disturbing him too much.

Mheetu found himself trapped in his dreams again, her voice echoed in his ears.

'Mheetu, Save me!' she called out. Mheetu ran through the thick vines of the jungle his green eyes looked back and forth as he tried to find the voice. He kept running until...

"Mheetu..Mheetu." her voice seemed so close. His mossy green eyes opened and he stared at Addana. Taking a moment he shook off his sleep and pulled himself up to his light colored paws, "Yes, Addana." he said. Mheetu quietly made his way away from the sleeping Vitani, he stretched himself forward.

His nostrils inhaled the damp air and he grumbled, "It smells like it's going to rain. Plus the ground is all mushy." He picked up his paws as he felt his weight sink him down, he didn't like the feeling of dampness. Shaking out his golden mane he let ivy and grass fall out, he rolled his eyes. "This place is alot wetter then home." he confessed to Addana. The light mist carried in with the wind made his mane fluff out, he could feel it.

Madrone nuzzled Alma back and smiled, "Come on let's see if they've woken up." he said stepping back towards the Pride's area. He noticed Delano and Tempesta awake and talking, he also eyed Addana awake aswell. He made his way past them and relaxed infront of his den, giving them some time to wakeup.

Tempesta saw Delano and her turqouise eyes flickered slightly, she let Dyanna rest and stepped beside him. "I'm good. Thank you. How did you sleep?" she asked smiling. She lifted her paw and wiggled her ebony dipped toes before pulling out her claws, she combed her ebony chest fur.

"Delano, Tempesta,Mheetu and Addana. Come here." he ordered. Marrone stood tall infront of his den, awaiting his Pride to listen.

Tempesta heard Marrone call their names and she quickly gave Delano a lick on the cheek, "Thats for yesterday." she whispered. She then bounded off towards Marrone and reclined infront of him awaiting their orders, a smirk across her muzzle.
