Kamari looked at Simba. "No, it's all my fault. I was stupid enough to fall off the dumb log. Then I was stupid enough to scream and stupid enough to call you guys and stupid enough to run away with my tail between my legs. Yeah, all my fault." he growled to himself. "It wasn't anybody's fault but mine." he plopped down onto the log, upset with tears in his eyes. Meila tried to comfort him as much as possible "It's not all your fault Kamari," she said wiping a tear off his face. "Hah! When do we know when we're gonna fall off a log into the river where a bunch of crocs are looking for lunch?" Meila laughed. Kamari just looked at her, then went back to sulking in his own little world. Simba looked devastated as he watched Kamari cry into his own paws. Kamari seemingly couldn't stop crying. He tried to stop and get up, but as soon as he did, more tears would fall down his face and he'd collapse back down onto the log, Meila still trying to comfort him.

Kamari's sulking reminded Simba of the time when they were cubs, with Kamari trying to comfort Simba. Now Simba knew that he had to do the same.

Kamari, you did the right thing. We all fall down sometimes. These things happen. If you hadn't called for help, Delano wouldn't be lying on the floor with a few broken bones. Kamari tensed at this, but Simba continued. Instead, we would have been searching for whatever parts would have remained of you. Simba placed a paw gently on Kamari's shoulder. Try talking to him when he gets a little better. I actually think that he would apologize to you. Kamari looked up at Simba, confused, as did Meila. He felt really bad at how the two of you met. He wanted to make up for it. I wouldn't be surprised if he was actively searching for ways to help you. He may act tough, but he can have a soft spot sometimes.

Simba thought for a moment if he had anything more to say. He lay down slowly next to Kamari. Remember last year? That night on the log? What you told me then? It's not your fault. Kamari nodded slowly. It's not your fault, Kamari. And it never will be. Simba told him.

ooc: a little trip down memory lane for Simba and Kamari huh?

Kamari looked at Simba with more tears in his eyes. The words he said to Simba that night echoed through his ears once again. "You are not worthless" Kamari smiled. He got up, and shook his fur. "You know Simba? I think I'll give Delano another chance. He may not be able to teach us how to hunt anymore, but I think we both need to apologize." Simba smiled in agreement. Kamari gave Meila a nuzzle and started towards where Meila's mother was taking care of Delano. When he arrived there, he went up to Delano, who was doing considerably well, "Hey Delano, I was wondering-....I think- I think we both deserve an apology. I was stupid enough to fall off that dumb log and was pretty much croc lunch, but when you came in you broke more than one bone so I could be safe. I- I'm sorry for acting like an idiot. I hope you forgive me."

Delano was trying to get some sleep, to ignore the pain, when the trio came back. Meila's mother was applying a strange material to his side wound, and afterwards wrapped up his broken bones with enough leaves and weeds to keep the assembly from falling apart; and from him moving his broken limbs. She was still wrapping up his hind leg when he heard Simba and Kamari came back, along with Meila.

He raised his head to get a better look. Simba looked relieved to see him better, while Kamari looked rather embarrassed. it was then when Kamari apologized. Delano smiled. Don't worry about it. I acted like an idiot too, when we first met. I'll be fine. I'm just glad that we can start over. I was hoping for the least. He rested his head on the ground again, but remember that he wanted to tell them something, so he lifted his head up again. Hey, listen. Simba, Kamari, I know that I'm not in any shape to teach you guys how to hunt properly. But I can still talk. My mouth isn't broken, he laughed a little at his own joke, but stopped when it caused more pain. Anyways, I figured that I can at least teach you the theory. Explain how to hunt properly. And I've been talking with Meila's mother here, and she said that she'd be happy to show you the moves of hunting. How would you like that?

Simba smiled. Gee, I'd love it. Thanks, Delano. So you'll still be able to tech us, in a way? He quickly looked at Kamari, who also looked happy.

Kamari smiled, although deep down inside he still wasn't happy with Delano, he still agreed to have Delano "tech" him for hunting. "Sure! Why not?" Kamari said, with an encouraging tone in his voice. "And I hope you get better soon Delano, but a broken bone will take a while to heal up, let alone two." Kamari said, with not a very happy tone this time. He looked at Simba. "Hey buddy, I need to talk to you about something if you don't mind." Simba nodded. "I-I also need to say I'm sorry to you for acting this way. I know to you it doesn't look like I did anything, but to me I did a lot of things that I don't like that makes me regret them." Simba looked at him with a confused face.

Delano smiled as Kamari accepted his invitation. Although he got a slight feeling that Kamari was faking it, if only a little. Delano sighed as another wave of pain paralyzed him temporarily. It will take a while to get Kamari to lighten up. But Delano was willing to work at it. Real friends take a long time to form. Didn't Simba tell him how the two were friends for about a year already? With nothing better to do, Delano lay his head on the ground and tried to get some sleep.

Simba listened to Kamari's apology. He looked at Kamari confused. What did Kamari need to apologize for? Simba thought for a reason, but came out blank. So he had to ask. Wait, Kamari... what did you need to apologize for? I'm confused. I mean, if you let me know what it's about, then I will be grateful, but right now I don't know, and... well, you don't need to apologize for anything. You are my friend. You were, is, and will be. There's nothing wrong in that.

Kamari replied "I know you don't know, but it's hard to understand. Try to put yourself in my paws and see what it's like being a cheetah. I- I feel like I'm out of the ordinary and I don't like that. But, that doesn't have anything to do with what we're talking about. I've done somethings like call you names and make you feel bad that you don't even have any recollection of. So I will say I'm sorry. If you don't understand that's fine. I just felt like something was itching me to say sorry." He smiled "Don't worry, we're still buds." he placed a paw on Simba's head, joking around. He soon got into a playful fight with Simba, just like when they were cubs.

ooc: sorry. MLK blanked out when I was posting, so I didn't see it post. I then posted again (copied of a text file) once MLK worked again. Consider it a double post, and I will add proper material in this one.

Simba laughed when Kamari gave him a playful shove. You know that you can't beat me! Shouted Simba as he pounced on Kamari, but the cheetah sidestepped his move. Soon, the two were circling around each other, looking for an opening. Kamari decided to pounce on Simba right as Simba pounced on him, which only resulted in them swapping places. Then Simba got another idea, and quickly turned around and sprinted away from Kamari.

Which was a bad move.

Kamari easily caught up to Simba and pounced hard. The two rolled around each other, both trying to get on top of the other. Kamari was by then getting tired, but so was Simba. Neither of them relented control, and both got up on their hind legs to try and topple the other over. Using his greater strength and weight, Simba knocked Kamari over, but as he was about to pin him, Simba tripped over his own feet from the exhaustion, and fell right next to Kamari. Both of them laughed at this, for they were to tired to try and settle who won what Simba realized was their first tie.
