Kali frowned. "Not exactly what I was thinking at the moment. I just wanted to know if you were going to kill your nephew Simba slowly or quickly," he said.

Zira scoffed "Dead is what I want him, just dead" she said glaring at seemingly nothing.

Kali grinned. "Good. Good. Let the hate flow through you. It makes you stronger, gives you focus," he said.

"Bah! Tell me something I don't know" she said still glaring.

Kali chuckled. "I look forward to seeing Simba die. That will be a day long remembered," he said, remembering the story Zira had told him of how Scar had failed to kill Simba during the stampede. "Also, unlike Scar, I won't betray you at the last moment to save my skin," he said.

Zira snarled at him. "Don't you dare talk about Scar that way! He was a glorious lion and just did what was best for the pride, the hyenas where just pawns anyway" she said seeming to calm back down with each word.

Kali glared. "From the way you told the tale, you seemed to hate him for saying it was you and the hyenas' idea to kill Mufasa," he said.

Zira paused and looked away for a few second. "I...I was just, caught in the moment is all. Loosing one's King is a very infuriating thing you know"

Kali nodded. "Well, I am your king now, and I plan to honor Scar's memory for your sake by killing your nephew Simba," he stated.
