"I-I'm fine" She tried to act proud of her brother. Yet she seemed more sad then proud. Tears formed in her eyes.

Kovu noticed his daughter's sadness and went to her. "Hush, my daughter. You, too, will be great in your own right," he told her in an attempt to comfort her.

"Theres barley any queens up there. I was hoping to be one of the few. Yet, it wasn't me chosen, but I will always accept your choice father." She cried. "Tell me father, mother. What will I do for the rest of my life?" She asked them tears pouring out of her eyes.

Kovu smiled. "You will be at your brother's side, assisting him. If anything needs his attention, you will tell him," Kovu said, not really knowing how to reply.

Kiara was shocked at how sad Shia was at first. "Darling, your father is right" she said while nuzzling her daughter lovingly. She looked over to see Nguvu padding back to Pride Rock. "Probably going to tell Uzuri" Kiara said to Kovu.

Meanwhile Durba had been plotting against Nguvu, killing him if he had to. He also had been listening in to his father and mother's conversation with Shia. "If she feels the same way as I do, maybe she could help me" he thought evilly.

"Thanks Mother" She said nuzzling Kiara. "And thank you Father!" She nuzzled Kovu as well.

"You're welcome, Shia," Kovu replied. Now that he had a successor, Kovu was very happy. Now it was time to live out the rest of his life. He nuzzled Kiara lovingly.

Kiara nuzzled him back, and began to walk back to Pride Rock. Meanwhile Durba had come out of his hiding place, he went up to Shia, "Disappointed eh?"

"Yeah, I wanted to be queen of the Pridelands and end up among the stars." She sighed. Looking up at the sky, then walking back towards her parents again. "Mom, Dad, am I betrothed to anyone or is it just Nguvu who is?" She questioned. With an amazing idea in her head.

"No, Shia, you aren't set to be given to any lion at the moment. Why do you ask?" Kovu replied, wondering why his daughter was asking such a question.
