Jr: Mbaya...please just tell me the truth

[Iri]

Mbaya's tail lashed. "I cried once, because I was a coward," she said.

[Adofo]

Jr: No...you weren't. Its okay.

[Iri]

"I should never have cried," Mbaya spat. She wasn't angry at Jr, she was angry at herself.

[Adofo]

Jr: ...its okay to cry. It shows you're not afraid of your emotions.

[Iri]

"Afraid?" Mbaya said. She turned away from him. "Mother was good to me. She taught me how to fight."

[Adofo]

Jr: So did my father. He never laid a bad hand on me. When you get something wrong you get encouraged to try it another way. Not beaten for getting it wrong.

[Iri]

Mbaya shook her head. "I was raised this way," she said softly, her voice quiet. "I'm used to this."

[By the way, soon, Mbaya WILL realize what her mother did to her.]

[Adofo]

Jr: You shouldn't be.......you need love.
Adofo came up from behind his son.
Adofo: Thats right.

[Iri]

"Mother told me I don't need love," Mbaya protested. She tilted her head.
